Anyone see this? C8z v C7Z M7 roll
About what I expected. Not knowing what mods if any either have. But i look forward to seeing an A8 C7Z vs the C8Z on the move.

I mean, let's not forget the C8Z is a naturally aspirated 5.5 liter running with a supercharged 6.2 liter that weighs 100 lbs less.
The C8Z is what a Z06 should be. Leave the FI to the ZR1.

This is hilarious.
When the C7Z rolled in, people were complaining that they couldn't track it because it would overheat.
GM seems to have built a bulletproof track weapon that sounds like a ferrari and people are concerned with roll racing smh.
To make things spicy, the ERAY will probably walk a C8Z off a roll too

I think brink of speed has a video of someone with their z06 racing a stingray. They were neck and neck from a dig and the z06 barely won from a roll. Idk how long that distance was they raced during the roll but the z06 barely beat it. An ERAY with that extra power (yes more weight) will surely beat a z06 off a roll. The z06 isn't a drag racer. Let's appreciate what the car can do in a straight line. It's meant to break faster than 7 minutes at the ring and beat supercars on the track. Not to run 9s at the1/4.
I mean from a cooling perspective. I should've elaborated.
People are having a tough time breaking 200F during these tests and car reviews. And some people report 150F street driving? Talking about overkill on cooling but this was the mistake for the C7Z. GM seems to have corrected this this time around and now people are looking for 5.x second 60-130 times lol.
Let the roll racers wait for the ZR1.

The C7Z is still a beast to contend with and for the price a bargain compared to the price tag of the C8Z.

The Z06 isn’t that much quicker than the base SR on the street.
It’s strength obviously is on the track.

That's one thing I will miss with the C8Z although driving it doesn't really feel like it needs anything.

Typical 1/4 mile trap C8Z 130-131 MPH, Stingray 124-125 MPH. 6 MPH delta is decent.

Debating if i'm still going to keep the C7Z, even when i get my C8Z. I'm just afraid the C7Z will just sit and sit and not get used once the new shiny toy comes in. But make no mistake the C7Z is a damn GREAT car for the street. One of the, if not, THE BEST bang for buck when you consider everything, including the looks and cost.
I still love my C7Z to this date. Even though it's a manual and i'm sick of driving manual

My soon to be sold NA HCI C6Z is as fast/faster straight line than a C7 ZR1. I am still in the break-in period (330 miles) of our C8Z and am not at all disappointment. Even in the break-in the DCT and Touring-Sport-Track modes are amazing.

Why is the guy using the paddles? I think it would be at its best putting it in race mode and letting the transmission shift at its optimal points. Does he even have it in race mode? Sounded pretty quiet.

so many questions but all that matters is, "we watch, they win."

I think if i got rid of my C7Z, i would regret it. The car runs amazing even though it has 35k miles. It has been the most reliable car i ever owned. I know i could always get another later down the road if i do miss this type of car but then you're stuck with something used obviously with no history of what it went through unless the previous owner documented every single thing done to the car maintenance and modification wise.
I still have time to think about it as i'm like 15-18 months away from actually driving a C8Z. My C7 is paid for. So money isn't an issue, it's space. And since my driveway has tandem parking, it means the more cars i store, the more i have to do musical cars when i want to drive a particular car lol.
And there's a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttle bit of me that wants to modify my C7 just to keep me entertained while i wait for the C8Z. Debating on a cam or should i upgrade to a 2650?
