over MSRP on the Z06 Mega merge

[QUOTE=AzDave47;1605952732]GM has said they don't want dealers telling customers MSRP and then requesting big ADMs when the car is delivered…’
Just semantics. What about the many folks placing early orders and later being told MSRP won’t get it done, and later being told a big a ADM is necessary? A ZO6 at MSRP will be a rarity for awhile at most dealers. So much for GM’s influence with dealers. Ferrari can enforce MSRP via dealers, why not GM?

That is exactly what I said that GM did not want dealers doing. If you just got on a list but not told any price then you didn't even know the deal. If you got on a list and told MSRP and then later told added ADM then no good.
GM seemed to be OK with dealers telling customers up front there would be an ADM (and what it was). They told dealers that the bait and switch is against their Dealers' code of conduct. Unfortunately we have yet to hear about any dealer being disciplined by Chevy for the shady practices..

But when we trade…..we always banter for more $s! Why not just take the first offer? Did anyone insist on paying msrp 10 years ago when they were discounting c6 for 15? Or a 19 c7?
I work in a high and I’ll repeat high end hood. Dude dropped $2m on a wedding last month!!
And many have dropped $1m.
Think those folks care about a mark up on a car they want?
Most of us cannot relate to super rich folks. The deals quoted above are pocket change to rich folks.
I love people calling them suckers and fools. They’ve made a fool out of me cause I’m not rich!

Especially because it's such a well built and worth it machine! Certainly 65 thousand dallars ($65,000) is just a drop in the bucket, don't cha know.

People are asking these prices because people are willing to pay these prices. Want to stop scalping? Don't pay the markup. If you need to have it now and didn't get on a dealer list that isn't marking up then wait. Me personally I refuse to pay over MSRP and have zero issue waiting until the dust settles or I move to something else if it keeps up over the long haul.
Wait until those that pay $100k over go to trade in or sell in a few years and that $250k car is worth $70k......ouch.

Are there any confirmed sales with ADM?
If the anticipated ADM craze for the low number of MY23 cars is a reality, we should be seeing some huge flips... but nothing so far through social media and nothing confirmed on forums....

If buyer is willing to pay for it, seller is going to sell it. Probably not a cool thing to do but it is meaningless and sounds like the biz last year about NFTs.
These sellers and buyers are throwing around numbers as if they are transacting rare art. It is a primo Chevy but still just a Chevy and wont be hanging on the wall of a gallery.

Possible to get one, as the dealer expects more allocations to come through, but it'll for certain be a long wait.
I test drove it, quite a bit different than the F8. I like it, will most likely throw my hat in the ring.

"Hypocritical"?. We defend a dealers right to "make a profit" yet find fault between a seller and buyer who agree to (what they consider) a reasonable price.
If a dealer can charge $50-100,000 over MSRP because "the market" justifies it, then doesn't the same principle apply to everyone?
I could afford $100,000 over and as a matter of fact was just offered a car for $50,000 over, but turned it down. I own enough cars that I am in no hurry to be the first on my block, however, when a bit younger and wanting to "impress", I paid a guy $50,000 for his place on the Ferrari list and see nothing wrong with it.
