If you decide your pockets are a little deeper and you want to go faster, 500,000 USD will get you this.

Dealerships are not up to standard of the Corvette clientele. This is actually a true assessment, that's why I wished GM would address this to their dealers. That said, some Porsche, BMW, Mercedes dealerships suck as well. Don't believe, me, then go to Woodland Hills Porsche, Center BMW in North Hollywood or Encino Mercedes and get back to me. They are within 10 miles of each other. That said, they are as whole much better than most of the dealers GM sells the Corvette through.

If I wand a luxury sedan, I'd buy a used Bentley... Bentley makes a good Luxury car...
If I want Scotch, I'll buy a single malt... if I want Vodka, I'll buy the cheap ****, because Vodka is just cheap ****.
If I want a sportscar, I'll buy a Porsche or a Corvette.
If I want a fashion accessory, I'll buy a Ferrari.

Corvette assembly quality is very inconsistent. If you're remotely picky or have ever assembled a car (I am and I have) you notice these things where someone didn't take the time to line things up. C8s are better than C7s, but they're still inconsistent.
Just look at the door panel to dash alignment in this high spec 3LZ in Eddie X's review... horrible to look at every time you drive.

By gosh you're right !
Not to take anything away from the engineers at Porsche, but I've also found that while driving in elevated heat conditions, that turning on the a/c, increasing fan speed, and aiming the dash vents at me also enables particularly efficient cooling of the driver, which in turn ...... feels good.
Not as sure about maintaining concentration or constant performance.

& what are the excuses for when a Vette can't beat XYZ car? Dumb thread. Buy what you like & who cares what people think...
Competition & choices are good for the consumer. Also, lots of Vette owners are not badge/model loyal (silly thing to begin with for any badge) and also own cars from other makes. Enjoy your mass produced Chevy & get over it

This is a pre-production test car. It's not indicative of the actual car. Regardless, this interior panel gap debate is kind of moot and overrated. Some panel gaps are on purpose and the tighter the interior gap, doesn't necessarily mean the interior is higher quality. I've had a Bentley with not so tight interiors gaps and that interior exuded high quality. Now exterior gaps are different and they should be all consistent. I hope GM listens to these forums and listens to constructive (not trolling) criticisms and acts upon them to improve the car. Imo, the headlight paint chipping issue should have been noticed prior to starting to sell the cars and correction applied asap.

I can live with most of the flaws mentioned, however I can't live with the headlight rubbing issue. Totally unacceptable for a 150K, going into the 4th model year let's see if they solved that issue.

C'mon guys, everyone knows that the Corvette isn't as emotional to drive as a Porsche!
