Some may criticize, not me. The roll out of the Z06, waiting list confusion, last minute market adjustments and auctions, and at the end of the day, delivering a car weighing more than a four door sedan (Cadillac CTS 5) makes one wonder.

LOL
OP, good choice on the car. I picked up my M3 competition earlier this year, paid a bit over MSRP. Not too bad. Surely beats waiting 5-10 months like others are waiting. Plus with stop sales, could be even longer.
Car is incredible.

Also these cars don't make the claimed hp stock lol. There are people on bmw forum, or even on the FB m3/m4 group, bone stock competitions making 500rwhp lol. That's about 550-560hp crank.
I didn't like the grill seeing it in photos. But once you get the car, you'll get used to it. In fact, the car gets a lot of attention. If you're getting isle of man green, you will definitely turn heads.

I just put down my deposit on the new M2 but now I heard AWD is going to be a late addition to the line up so may switch that to an M3.
If I cared what a car looked like versus its performance I wouldn't be buying a C8.

The new design is terrible...BUT having seen it in that Dark Green with a tan interior on an M4 Convertible it was stunning. You need to get a darker color and black out trim, the dark blue also looks spectacular with the new front grill.

I do like the M2s. Although the new 2 series looks fugly to me too and they're so overweight. I loved the look of BMWs 10 years ago but every generation has gotten substantially worse. They all look like dogshit besides the M5, M8, X3, and X5.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
I actually prefer the looks of the new M3 over the C8. The C8 is not one of the best Corvette designs, unfortunately. It's a good thing the Z06 has 670 hp because it weighs nearly as much as the new M3.
Good choice OP, the M3 has some great colors & the interior is much better than the C8 .

Good choice enjoy it can not blame you as the waiting game for the Z is nothing short of ridiculous.

Congrats on the M3- M cars are well balanced, love my manual M2 with the analog gauges, don”t know how they do it, but it’s just right and you can explore near limits driving without killing yourself, I can’t do that with my C6 Z06, maybe I’m not talented enough - I could not fall in love with the new BMW grille design no matter how many beers I drink, it is simply not good.

I'm a fan of the M3/M4. I kind of like the grille and really like the fact that BMW didn't something different and risky. I can't knock the OP for ordering one. I'm debating whether I should forget about the Z06 and buy something else instead. And I'm still really low on MM's list. Honestly, if anyone else made a decent sounding sports car that didn't cost more than a Z06, I'd sell my current C7 Z06 and 100% forget about Chevy at this point. That's how frustrating this Z06 launch has been. And now I'm supposed to get excited about having to wait longer to get what will mostly be a 3 year old car.
