Im not a sky is falling guy but there has to be issues other than supply chain. Think about it. They give out allocations and then abruptly stop production. Its not like the people responsible for supply chain at GM didn’t know this and communicate this to management and executives. If it was a supply chain issue, they never would have started production for customer orders in the first place. They simply could have been forthcoming and made an announcement. I don’t buy “supply chain issues”.

Furthermore, what scares me is that with all this going on, the new hand built engine, and other factors is that Mary Barra just decides to scrap the Z and move on to the Hybrid, and electrification.

The S show just got worse. We'll see how his plays out. I'll keep driving what I have for now. With all these issues to the rollout / supply chain issues etc etc, I don't see how they can get to the E Ray in 2024

LS6 - valve springs breaking, harmonic dampeners flying off, oil consumption.
LS7 - Do I even need to say anything?
LT4 - heat soak/overheat, pulled timing rendering poor trackability.

Look at it this way. For all those bitching (somewhat rightfully so) about not having track times, driving impressions, ect. Well, no worries anymore. The youtubers will be happy to flaunt their cars for the next 3-5 months and take you for real world drives. And if GM does not release ring times before the end of the year they NEVER will. Which is a tell tale sign too.

Just sign off CF and other covertte related forums and social media for the next 3-5 months or it will just enrage you even more. I will be staying in the C2 section myself.

Lol sheeple. Supply chain hits all manufacturers. Others haven't said sorry you cannot buy our awesome new car we just hyped the hell out of. Don't be naive 🙄🙄🙄🙄

We are already losing interest. If I could sell my spot, I would. GM is a joke

When I started this thread I figured I would be getting mine picked up in Sept…. Was just wondering about when this month and counting weeks until I would actually get it.
Then Within 15 minutes the crap hit the FAN…. WOW.

This is very disappointing. Glad I didn’t sell my Stingray. Had listed it and had some strong offers when this all started getting heated up.

Going to proceed with installing my high wing and Borla exhaust and enjoy the car until I have a Z at 3000.

I too worry, that if something is wrong, Barra will scrap the car.

Why would you think after all of the R&D expense that GM will scrap the car? This car is moving forward. People will get there cars soon and others will wait.

If there is a problem with the new engine it’s better to correct it now and not have a bunch of early builds sitting in the dealerships shop.
It will be interesting to see how long before the accepted allocations actually get delivered. We know from past history that we can’t depend on the dates that they tell us.

Google Cadillac CT6 and the Blackwing engine family. Not be be confused with the CT5 Blackwing or CT4 Blackwing.

This is the GM way. I signed an online reservation for a Denali Ultimate Crew Cab on October 21 last year on the big push for it; still no truck.
Z06 & Escalade V; a ton of promotion, but no vehicles.

Looks like E ray customers will get their corvettes before z06 buyers.

maybe the eray is lapping tracks faster than the z06?

Im sad to say the Z06 launch has been a total **** show. Quite honestly and Im a pro GM guy this launch has been a complete embarrassment.

When GM said it wanted to do better than tesla in the marketplace I never in a million years thought it would be in how their vehicles would be long delayed launches.

maybe this is all BS rumors etc....for startups to screw up a launch I get it but a hundred year old automobile company?

I'm just glad I have my 2020 z51 to enjoy. If I didnt Id be pissed. Maybe the E ray is the way to go?

maybe a htc Eray widebody is in my future instead of the long delayed Z06. I really wanted a htc and figured what the hell for an extra 30 grand more get the z06. Maybe the e ray outperforms the z06 ? Porbably cost an extra 20 over the stingray z51....at least itll be available for sale for gods sake.

that E ray is looking mighty attractive right about now. Quite honestly I dont even need a new vette. i have a c8 z51 now thats beautiful. Add a set of Wider wheels in 20/21 sizing add in the oem approved borla exhaust and for ten grand total my current ride would be just fine. Ill just continue to put the targa in the trunk manually like Ive done for the past two and a half decades,

this is ridiculous.

rant over.

I mean just scroll over to the C6 forum and listen to all those in the know claim the LS7 issue was blown out of proportion.

There is a long line of apologists that continue to make excuse, after excuse, after excuse for Corvette. I know my Z06 will be shipped off to AHP for a set of their Archangel heads so I don't have to worry about my valves dropping.

If the LT6 has issues, Tadge will release the official statement saying something to the effect of "we identified an issue that affected a very small % of vehicles, and the supplier has assured us they have addressed the issue moving forward...". Then 5, 10 years from now the problem will still keep popping up for the 2nd & third owners who finally put some miles on them.

As you said, history with the Corvette engine has repeated itself time and again.

Wait...So you have faith that the same company that wadded up the Z06 launch is going to flawlessly pull off the ERay launch on schedule?
