Seats are leather, wheels are forged.

Yet another example of why there's so much bogus information on the internet. Posters making bold claims as fact when not confirmed as fact.

Will the Federal government or states invoke an annual GG tax in the future? Seems the Z06 crowd should be able to afford another hand in their pockets joining the supercar club.

That's what I would think. Isn't the gas guzzler tax typically already included in the published base prices as destination/delivery charges are?

Yes. The gas guzzler tax is INCLUDED in the MSRP.
Amazing how much bad information is contained in these 2 pages...

Yes, it is amazing. If you look at the detailed pricing, the GGT is listed separately as "TBD" with a figure of $0. So no, the GGT is NOT included in the pricing released by GM yesterday.

Oh, and here's a window sticker showing the GGT as a separate line item on a 2019 ZR-1. Why did you post misinformation if you have such a problem with it?

LOL. First you posted "$5,000 confirmed" and when presented proof that was impossible you change it to $5,400. Why not just admit you made the whole thing up and go away? The only thing "confirmed" is that you were wrong.

A few points regarding Gas Guzzler Tax.

GGT has not been published yet, it will not be included in the Z06's base MSRP, it will be itemized on the Monroney Label as a line item.

GGT is a one time government mandated tax paid on a new car purchase and is not an annual tax like vehicle property taxes in certain states.

Honestly, if you’re worried about GG Tax you can’t afford the car. I was just sharing information from a very reliable source, If you don’t like it just MoveOn

If you use the Shelby GT350 as a guide with it's 5.2l FPC V8, it gets 14 city & 21 highway mpg with 16 mpg combined that should give you a ballpark.

How much worse will a slightly larger, slightly higher revving, 150hp more power making A8 get versus a M6 in the GT350?

Time will tell...

A "very reliable source" who didn't even know the number he gave you was impossible.

As just shared on the other forum, a top member of the Corvette team just confirmed to them that the Z06 is “still awaiting EPA testing.”
