Hmm, why should they revel the price, now? Have booked more sales than they can delivery in 3+ years.

I'm and old timer, 80 next few months, and recall the inflation in the early 1980's! Heck we were transferred to Corporate Office in CT and my wife was so happy she found a home we got for ONLY 14% MORGAGE INSTEAD OF THE GOING 17%.

I was responsible for Marketing in our Division and along with getting sales literature designed, produced and printed had to send out price sheets to ~3000 Distributor salesman and our own sales folks. Each package was ~1/2 inch thick 8 1/2 x 11.

Was having to produce every month at that time as the welding/cutting equipment and welding filling material businesses were raising prices monthly just to try to keep ahead of cost increases! Bet the price will change from whatever they thought it might be!

!
They can set the price at whatever level they want since all of them are already sold.

Base price of the Ct5V Blackwing went up $7,000 for 2023 from 2022, ZL1 is up about $4,000. GM trucks have gone up about $2,000 during the 2022 model year, waiting to hear what the increase is going to be for 2023. I can bet for sure that the price of this car has increased since GM initially priced it internally.

Agreed. ANd people think that if GM aims a bit higher than usual that would kill sales lol.

It won't. If 20% of people drop out because they don't like the price, a new 20% of people would stomp on anyone who gets in their way of moving into that list.

GM can price it at 125k starting and everyone will open their checkbooks without hesitation.

They could BUT as an example, for my small part time internet business made with all US sourced product just had an 81% price increase on one brass part and 26% on another. Had no choice had to raise my prices. Products are patented and have payback measured in months for large fabricators. In fact sold enough just to China the year before the pandemic hit to pay for my C8! But their prices going up as well!

Doubt GM will price based on what the market will accept! BUT cost increases have to be covered!

Some folks here think GM will sell Z06 at a loss. Really delusional.

What about the 2023 Stingray though? You know, the car that has commanded ADM’s and is being sold for more used than new for the past 3 years?

Your last sentence I agree with though… I just don’t believe that hike is going to be as large as some people believe.

GM has said, again and again, that future cars will be priced in line with previous models. This has been the case for the last SEVERAL decades. The Z06 has always been low-mid 20s over the price of the base. That means it will cost between 85-90k give or take a BIT for inflation, etc.

Those of you suggesting they will change and suddenly charge 125k+ are nothing short of delusional.

Yep, as I said waiting for the bean counters to estimate what the cost will be! As I mentioned, for my part time Internet business made from all US Sourced raw materials just had an 81% increase on one brass machined part and 26% on another! Had to raise prices!

No, not "everyone". Demand will drop by at least 10%, 20%, or maybe even 50%.

If it's 125k I'm not buying it, to serve as one mere data point.

Yep, $125k base price and I'm out.

If that happens I bet the next 100 page thread is going to be packed full of people griping about not getting their deposits back yet.

Agreed. Getting up that high would be putting it in closer competition with other rarer, more exotic cars.

The last of the NA V8's, in a car where people have to spend double that to get the "last" most powerful NA V8's in another car, or even one of the most powerful V8's from another car maker, but this C8 z06 is backed with a 5 year 60k warranty, in a platform where THE ENTIRE WORLD lusts over?

You really think 50% of the demand will drop out if GM wants to get crazy and price it at 125k?

lol sure. There are people with FAR deeper pockets than anyone on this forum that has interests in this car. So if by 50%, you mean 50% of the people on this forum, i agree. But that next 50% of actual wealthy people, will jump right in line with their checkbooks out. Writing that 125k check will be the equivalent to us writing a 100 dollar check.

Btw, i just mentioned 125k because that's my limit for this car lol. So it's a win win either or for me.

Yup, I'm out too at $125 base. I love when folks without $ predict what folks with $ will do. Most rich folks aren't stupid...A Z is not worth twice what a SR is worth.

Damn shame he's willing to stretch to pay $125K for a base Z06 with zero options and still won't have the coordination to properly modulate the throttle... needs to put the money on some driving lessons.
