Well he is a Youtube "celebrity" and you know these guys always have super secret info not available to anyone else. I mean the entire internet was right about every single detail of the Z06....so I would say this is 100% accurate. No doubt about it!

I just skimmed thru the recorded live stream where he talks about this. I'll save you guys the trouble.

It's a bunch of speculation. Everything from issues with the EPA, engine issues, I think he even said the transmission. I'm not taking anything he said very seriously. He didn't even present the delay idea as a sure thing. It just seemed like his filling in the air time on a livestream more than presenting anything he had intel on.

At a presentation and Q&A at the Bash last week someone asked Harlan about deliveries. He coyly said, "Summer ends 9/23." If he honestly thought the car was going to be delayed until 2023 he likely would have said something more generic like, "We're doing our best to deliver it as soon as we can." I doubt he'd purposely go on record about summer still being the target when we're so close to it. Just my two cents.

I am almost hoping this happens since I have an allocation that should get me a car about ½-⅔ of the way into the first 12 months of production. And I really want pearl white with adrenaline red dipped interior. Of course I am assuming they make the anniversary-only color part of the normal paint color choices.

Actually, that’s no answer either. IMO, that “target” is…was just that. I expect further delay for a multitude of reasons. At the very least a MUCH slower production schedule for 2023 models, perhaps by as much as half.

I think you’re right. They foresee a huge delay in z06 that they had to bring out or at least talk about the next variant.

I wish I got on that list sooner but I’m sure others caught on and jumped on that list already so no sense for me to try. I’ll have my regular stingray this time next year. Should hold me off until the c8z comes.

GM swoons over them though. One was even in the Z06 promo that got everyone all hot and sticky. We’re still in the “Coming Attractions” phase of this movie whose premier has been pushed back, and likely will again. Stay tuned for another coming attraction…
