[QUOTE=smithers;1605077040]I agree. When I talk about the big wing, I mean the splitter, dive planes, and wing as a package. My post was just to say that the big wing is a package like that, and the package also includes the CCB... so its going to cost about $10k or so.[/QUOTE
My hope was we didn't have to get the c brakes to keep it reasonable. Might be better offing .getting the 07 option. Won't know that until pricing comes in. Not sure what the performance option for the 2019 cost. Might get an idea of the 2023 cost.

Went to the Bash on Saturday. What a great event, we had a blast. We went to see some colors I hadn't seen in person yet and the Z06 of course. I believe we seen every color except amplify orange. I posted 15 photos over in Corvette_Nuts photo thread. I would of liked to see the spider wheels in titanium satin and satin graphite but Harlan said they aren't on any of the show cars. Both sets were machine faced spider wheels, they should show cars with a different pair of wheels on either side of the car. One thing my wife changed her mind on was the high wing, in photos she didn't want me to get the high wing but seeing it in person she changed her mind and now we both want the aero package with high wing. I already wanted CCB so that works out. My phone captured really nice audio of the Z06 revving and I uploaded to youtube, my only public video so check it out.

I'm with you on this. I wonder why they are forcing people into CCB when ordering the aero package on the base Z06.

I'm sure the aftermarket will provide a CF high wing for those disinclined to buy all the other unwanted pricey package items.

By this time next month, we should be getting the Z pricing just before the very first allocation release and orders.
There is nothing official from GM, only what many believe to be the case. With the plant closures, part shortages etc only GM actually has a target date.
So when I say should, I mean should. GM always is very careful the way they say things, which rightfully so, gives them wiggle room. Many times it's what they don't tell you that actually occurs and it's not always what you want to hear. Z words, such as, available spring or summer are examples.
Before we even get the pricing of the Z, GM has thrown us another bone on the E-Ray. Take what GM has said with a grain of salt. Think about it this way. The Z demand is great and before we even get pricing and production dates for the Z, we get excited about an early production of the E-Ray,. I might also remind you that the SR demand is still great and adding the Z production is going to mean less SR. Sit back and take a long breath.
I fell for the Z as being a 2022 model back in 2020. I know people that cancelled their SR order in anticipation of a 2022 Z They are still waiting for their 1st C8.
I fortunately got my 2020 SR and loved it, but recently sold it as I am getting a first month Z. My daughter reminds me every day that I sold it too early.
I fell for drinking the cool aid on the Z. starting production with the base 2023 cars in May, even though GM never, ever said that. My prediction is add 1-2 years for the E-Ray.
I can wait another month for the Z pricing, as we have no choice.

So far, GM has truly dropped the ball on the Z release

Agreed- they better have good news on pricing or there are going to be a LOT of upset enthusiasts who were strung along for a long time with empty promises of the price difference between base and Z06 being very similar to the past generations (yes a GM higher up flat-out said this). This is the kind of stuff that turns people off from certain companies.

Just an historical perspective: C7 Z06 Announcement January 13 2014. Pricing announcement September 1 2014. Production commencement first week November 2014.

I never looked up the specific dates, but I remembered the C7 Z06 pricing taking a long time to. If I remember right for that whole wait all anyone had to go on was Tadge or someone saying “if you could afford a C6 Z06, you can afford a C7 Z06.”

And people are getting all hot and bothered on the ERay.
It's going to be awhile.
Then there was the C8. Pricing given out 7 months prior to production. Yes there was a strike. Not sure at this point if anyone knows when pricing will come out for the Z accept GM and not sure about that either.
My prediction is that they will mfg at least 6,500 Z's the first year and no more than 9,000 because of supply issues.
As a result the demand for this car will outpace the supply for at least 3-4 years no matter what the economy does.
What say you all?

I was curious so I dug up the C7 Z06 reveal video.
Revealed in January 2014.. "production starting later this year with deliveries starting early 2015."
We aren't even close to the wait everyone had for the C7 Z06 after the reveal.

IF they follow the same timelines we are looking at C8 Z06 pricing end May beginning June 22 with production commencing July and first deliveries August 22.

I think we are closer.... 8.5 months between C7 Z06 and C7 Z06 pricing. So with the C8 Z06 revealed 20 October 2021 we are now at month 7.
IF they follow the same timelines we are looking at C8 Z06 pricing end May beginning June 22 with production commencing July and first deliveries August 22.

If that pans out.. I'd think we should see pricing at the end of this month, or early next month. Which like you said, puts us right in line with the C7 Z06 timeline.
I get that people are kind of bored and frustrated. I am too. But its not even summer yet, so its not like GM has repeatedly missed dates or anything.
