If you combine a full xpel wrap with the fact that corvette panels don't dent, you don't need to worry about door dings.

Been practicing for years. C8 will be next level parked

What about in the case of the Corvette C8 where the market value is higher than what you paid for the car, assuming you paid MSRP?

You are smart. I never park my Corvette where I can't keep an eye on it. To do otherwise is inviting damage.
Spend time in your car at a grocery store parking lot and watch the number of people miss your car by inches when backing up or turning in to a parking space.

At the end of the day, it’s a Corvette, not a kidney in a cooler.

Always enjoy these threads. It’s just a mass produced chevrolet 🤣. Now not driving it in the rain is different. I get tired of washing the damn thing.

In general, I park FAR AWAY in lots. But I'm, more worried about my pick up truck and door dings. People generally don't care about run of the mill vehicles like my pick up truck. Most respect the Corvette, and besides, it chips, vs. "dings".
That said, I have left Corvettes all over when traveling. Longest stint in an airport parking lot was 4 or 5 weeks. Car survived, even in the snow storm during that time.

The suggestions to "park in the boonies", etc are all well and good. Until you find an *******.
A few weeks ago I parked "out in the boonies" and the wife and I walked into the store to grab a few groceries. No cars close to us. And this is in my fairly everyday (but not out in the country where I live) 535i M-Sport. Came back 30 minutes later with a MASSIVE "ding" in the passenger rear door. Door may have to be replaced due to the type of dent and its location (right in the body line).
People just don't care anymore. In the last 2+ years the human race has de-evolved.
The other odd thing I noticed about that day: when we got to the store, everyone had done the typical "park as close as possible" thing. So parking "out in the boonies" meant we had a pretty sizeable gap to the rest of the cars in the lot. When we left, we noticed that there was almost an island of cars parked near/around our car. There was no car on the passenger side, but all around us were cars with a literal gap between that "island' and the rest of the cars in the parking lot.

Agree... the concept of respecting the property of others is diminishing in society and accelerating.

I come out, or going into stores sometimes, to people complimenting and wanting to talk about my Hellcat. I assume the same will happen with my C8Z too. Isn't part of the joy sharing the rolling art with other people that also appreciate it?
Never been afraid to park my toy & go into a building for hours. Someone might steal it? Yes, that is what insurance is for. I will not live my life in fear or paranoia and waste away not enjoying what I earned.
