First year release of the much coveted Z06: Flip it or keep it?
I'd say most are in it to get the chance to flip it for major bucks on the first year release. Or, maybe just to keep it for the bragging rights, perhaps?

I hate to admit it but getting your hands on a C8 Z06 is a wonderful opportunity to make some major $$$....no doubt there are many out there who will do it

I expect to have an early car and plan to enjoy it until the C9 Z06 arrives, depending on what that is. I have long considered the Z06 to be sweet spot in the Corvette lineup. Zero interest in flipping and GREAT interest in driving this car.

10,000 times easier to "flip" crypto / digital assets / or even stocks for that matter. Zero taxes paid on the purchase. Takes zero space in your garage. Zero costs for insurance or maintenance. You pay ZERO taxes on the purchase -- and can be liquidated or transported anywhere in the world instantly.

If I got a year 1 and someone walked up and said, I’ll give you $100k over what you paid, I’d throw him the keys. Maybe at $50k…But probably not.

Plan on keeping it, BUT, if they are bringing stupid money on secondary, I'll cross that bridge when i get there.
With my spot, I'm likely looking at a 24' model unless a few folks (2-3) drop in front of me.

Most of us that put down deposit 2+ years ago didnt know the future market! We put down deposit because we wanted the car.
i’m #60 or less @ MM, im buying to enjoy the car! Hope to have sometime this summer/fall.
i plan on keeping but even if i did sell it wouldn’t be right away. I put 4k miles on C8. It was great car but after coming out of C7 Z i, i was power spoiled!

I doubt "most" are going to flip. Some for sure, but I think most are genuine enthusiasts that want to enjoy the car. Plus, if you don't have another reservations, there's always the chance you'll never be able to buy another new C8 Z06. To me, the car is more valuable than the money.

My plan is to keep my first month Z06 car for at least two years, because I don't see the market price of the car going down until at least then. At that point in time, I will have the option to sell and order another, or keep it and get my deposit back. If I keep it, I will revisit the market at that point the following year and once again rethink the situation. Unless the offer blows me away, I will keep the car once again. Not in this to make money, but in it to enjoy the car as long as I can and if that means I can parley that into a new car with no added charge under warrantee, so be it! I see the value of these cars, in a similar way, if not better than the first C8's. Works for me.

I visited with the folks at Ciocca during the first Corvette C8 ZO6 tour. Ran into a number of folks that wanted to add the C8 ZO6 to their stable. Then, spoke with the guy's interested in trading their current C8 for the ZO6. The interesting part was talking with two guy's holding reservation numbers exceeding 3200. Both had faith the car would be delivered in 2 years!!!!

Keep it, but there's always a chance I may have to resell in a year or two.

I'm buying to keep as driving is one of my outlets... but I know that it would be hard for anyone to say no to $100k on top of what you paid.
