HELP! Your thoughts on AMPLIFY ORANGE vs RED MIST for my upcoming 2023 C8 Z06 ...

I , like probably many of us, have problems choosing a color from those available. I don't know, but does GM offer a "color match" option (for whatever price)?
I presently own a black C8, just ordered a black Cadillac Black Wing. I wish the Z06 came in a color close to real yellow, as the picture attached, but its yellow is washed out. The orange is different, but , in my view, both a radical departure and looks like Halloween with black contrasts.
We are now left with the reds, black, and white, for all practical purposes. The other colors do not even register in my view. To me a bright red Ferrari looks great, but not the C8's. The red mist is truly "mature" but somehow underwhelming. White and Black are fall backs. The black loses lines but gains aggression, and the white can be "decorated", i.e. stripes, carbon fiber.
At present I am considering going to my black standby or maybe reaching out to white which worked well on my Ferrari (pictured).

Im in the same battle now, currently have a red mist C8.
Red mist looks phenomenal in the right lighting conditions and is the best color under those conditions. However on overcast or cloudy days, its looks very blah.
After seeing the orange in person and analyzing it forever, it look great, but looks very flat similar to rapid blue. Definitely eye catching.
Black hides too many lines and the white is just like a huge chalkboard that hides the body lines too..
GM really dropped the ball on paint color choices on this car. The lambo orange or the BMW / Audio blues would be so nice

Amplify Orange looks great in GM press photos but disappoints in person and will most likely date the car in years to come.
Red Mist looks spectacular in direct sunlight as well as at night under artificial lighting and will always compliment the Z06.
That said, I won’t be ordering either color on my Z06 when the time comes.

While Red Mist is a great color, its a very classy color which would also look good on a luxury sedan. If you are getting a Z06, I believe the color needs to be BOLD! So, I'd go with the Amplify Orange.
Bonus points to the first owner of a Z06 who actually does a wrap similar to a 911 Signal Green or AMG GTR Green Hell Magno.

Red Mist.
Classy, subtle, sophisticated
Maybe less noticeable than Torch Rec to the po po man.
It reminds me of Long Beach Red in the C7’s.
But get what you want. Everyone will have an opinion like me.
Also don’t forget to listen to the lil lady too.

I really like Red Mist, probably the most beautiful color offered… but for some reason it just doesn't resonate with me

Red mist understates the car. The C8 body style looks similar to Ferrari at first glance, coming toward you on a highway. Arguably, an aggressive stance deserving of a color that stands out. The problem with our options is many (like me) are settling for a color given limited choices. I have played with the visualizer and on a configurator until my fingers are sore, and never touch the silver/grey colors, red mist, or even red (more suitable in my view to a Ferrari and maybe some Porsches), so find myself playing with white, black, and really struggling with the sorry excuse for yellow.
Bottom line. I think I will order a black car, and then wrap it entirely in green or create a "real" yellow and black car, i.e. cover all except rocker panels, rear wing, mirrors, and front spoiler. To ,me a true bright yellow (example on my Lamborghini pictured above) would be appropriate.

Red Mist looks incredible when the light hits it properly. If you live somewhere with a lot of sunshine, you’ll probably really enjoy it.
Amplify Orange is sort of the opposite. I find that it looks best in low light. High light situations tend to wash it out, IMO. So if you saw it in high light and liked it, then I think you’ll really love that color in all situations. I also don’t think it looks anything like Mclaren Orange. It is closer to the orange that comes on Mustang GT’s than Mclaren.
