Depth of Z06 orders already
I talked to my friend this morning that's a F&I manager at a local Chevy dealer that is just outside of the top 100, so they sell quite a few Corvettes and he said we just keep taking orders for Z06. He said we couldn't fill them if they make the car for the next seven years. Just wait until it's on the street and in magazines etc. If you weren't early on a list, it may not happen. Glad I have my Stingray to slum around in.

My dealer is a mid sized Corvette seller (mid thirties on the list of the top 100). They stopped accepting Z06 orders a long time ago. It was clear to them that they could not fulfill all the demand for this car. They don't want people to have unrealistic expectations. I was fortunate to get on the list when I ordered my C8 years ago. I am first on the list and hope to have an early car. If you didn't plan well ahead, you're not going to get one any time soon. unless you're willing to pay massive markups. My dealer has always sold me new Corvettes at $500 under MSRP.

You mentioned depth but you didn’t give an amount. The largest Z06 dealer is in NH with over 2,000 on the list. The 2nd largest Z06 dealer is in NJ not sure how many on the list but it’s in the thousands. 3rd on the list not sure. It changes from year to year. But I’m thinking over 1,000 each for the 3rd and 4th dealer. So just the 4 of them maybe around 7,000-10,000 then you add up another 3o or 40 Corvette dealers and your talking a lot of Z06’s. I mean this is a guestimate on my part. I could be way off.

I guess i'm not leasing this car after all since there won't be a new one to lease when a current lease is over lol.
Now i really have to think about what spec i don't mind living with for a LONG LONG time.

I believe even GM is surprised with what the market is saying. I am a bit surprised myself.
If I was not ona. list I would be very worried at what I would have to pay to get a car for myself...

Would think, GM would add 3rd shift to create more revenue. Eventually, the chip and parts shortage will catch up.

Nobody knows the percentage...but what if it is 10 percent...?

10% would make no sense. The profit margin on the Z06 is going to be high, especially with the loaded orders that will be coming in at first. Most people have estimated 30% and I see no reason to question that.

I think we now need a new, new, new rumors / timing / percentage of total production thread (oh wait!) 😬

Correct Kevin. Let me clarify. 500 under MSRP is for the C8 and C8 Z06. My C7 Z06 was a 2016 at $10,000 under. My early C6, 05 and early 2006 C6 Z06 were 500 under. If you want an early car of a new generation or a 1st year Z06, 500 under is a good deal.

Unfortunately, the wait time for a Z06 will be way worse than a base car & the few used ones that become available on the market will be highly sought after ( and expensive). Many people will wait years to get a new one. I guess that this is the price that we have to pay for a desirable car

Then GM is going to be leaving a lot of money on the table. There is no historical precedent for GM limiting Z production to that degree, so how likely is it that they would do it now, especially in light of the fact one of the engineers told you GM was prepared to produce far more than 30%?
