I've seen as high as 30MPG average in 200 miles at average speed of 69MPH.
What is "City" really varies by where someone lives and drives. Is not well defined when being discussed on forums.

Pre-pandemic, my commute averaged 19 MPH, so my MPG sucked on my ATS. On the ATS forum, other drivers bragged about their car doing so much better in city MPG. I got them to check their average speed and their city driving averaged 23 - 26 MPH. During the pandemic, my commute averaged 26 MPH and my MPG shot way up.

I've gotten 30 MPG on highway over some decent stretches of driving with my C8.

After 17 months and about 12,000 miles my C8 has averaged 14.0mpg. That is slightly better than the 13.6 for my 2015 Z06. My best 50 miles was 22.6mpg. Lots of twistiest, few highway miles.

The "Shift" Magazine supplement of the February 7, 2022 print edition of Automotive News is reporting that the C8 Z06 is "expected to have an EPA rating of 22 mpg and can travel as far as 407 miles on its 18.5 gallon fuel tank."

This is the first time I have seen any EPA mileage estimates for the Z06. IF ACCURATE, it appears that the new Z06 will have a $1,000 gas guzzler tax (based upon the above schedule).

It's pretty absurd that the most efficient production engine ever built (BMEP rating matches the Aston Martin Valkyrie's engine), coupled with the fact that C8 Z06s on average will be driven less than 2,000 miles/year, will be subject to a "gas guzzler tax".

Here's a solution: after 5 years, owners who provide evidence that the odometer is below 10,000 miles (picture, carfax, notarized, affidavited, etc.) can apply for a rebate/refund on the gas guzzler tax.

Pretty sure the Z06 will have a gas guzzler tax. But it's yet another stupid tax. Put in place 44 years ago. Cars are waaay more efficient today. Where does the tax go? - - it's administered by the IRS, so who knows. But, if it has to be in order to get a great ride like a C8 ZO6, so be it.

It kind of reminds me of a kiosk that I used to see inside the SF airport - just outside a restaurant I ate at regularly. I would see people walk up to the kiosk, put in their credit card, and purchase 'carbon offsets' for the flight they were about to take. Made me wish I had some of the $20 Rolex watches I used to see in Cozumel for these folks.......................

When in Tokyo, we went looking thru many shops and they had Rolex watches everywhere, but it took a lot of looking before we found what we were really looking for, a genuine Rorax watch that I bought for my wife. As you would expect, it only worked for about 3 years, but it was fun shopping for it.
