if one wants straight line speed get a Tesla Plaid. I can’t believe the Z06 will not approach 10.3 in the quarter mile. I have a hurucan Performante with a mid engine NA V10 with 640 hp and 470 lb ft torque. It’s AWD which helps it get a 10.2 in the quarter mile. It essentially weighs the same as the Z. So I think we may see the Z get a 10.3-10.4.
Let's see if my luck goes strong with the 1/4 and price
I think GM can do it!

All of these times are irrelevant after all. The only number that matters is what it will do around that ring in Germany right? At least that’s what I have pounded in my head from the last year on this forum.

Remember the Z06 is going to have 25-30% stiffer springs than the stingray, that is not going to help the launch. 10.6 is likely achievable and repeatable.

This car will not trap 130 in the quarter. it will be slow compared to lots of performance cars stock vs stock. Very disappointing but hey it sounds good

GT3 does trap 130 mph in 10.8 seconds. It weighs 3200 lbs and 503hp. I dont see how Z06 will not beat that with 170 more hp? Granted it weighs 400 lbs more but has tire and power advantage.

Porsches always perform better than what
their rated power ratings would suggest.

Many people have done 2.8 to 2.9 in the stingray, that's on the street ( not on the drag strip with prepped surface), also with stock tires and stock tire pressure.
Do you guys think for Z06 it's also possible to get 2.6 or better on street and other similar conditions as stingray? possible huh that's going to be so impressive. Usually cars with those similar HP will spin to no end on street and on stock tires, they usually need to go to drag strip and get better tires to get a good number in 1/4 mile.
Z06 does have bigger tires, and LT6 is it a little heavier than LT2? Still MR of course it will be awesome if it can get those numbers on street!!!
Hmm maybe with tires a 9 sec is very possible?!?!? Can't wait

Once again, the 1/4 mile time is largely irrelevant. This is a SPORTS CAR, not a DRAG RACER.
Let's see the lap times at different tracks; that's the only thing that matters with this car to measure performance for its intended purposes.

Go to 5:37 of the vid. I'm pretty sure that trap speed is that of the C7 ZR. The sentence immediately preceding states we don't yet know the trap speed of the C8 Z and we'll have to wait on that.
It seems the point was that the e.t. matched the C7 ZR which trapped 134.
