over rev on a downshift? Don't know if that's possible on a DCT, just guessing.

Unless Jeffrey in coding was high that day, DCTs can't be over-revved neither under throttle nor downshifts.

If you don't shift up it will bog down and downshifts won't be allowed.

So whatever RPM it's limited at it will go no further ... which means that pic is wankworthy.

Something isn't right. It's showing 2nd gear, so wouldn't that be a 2-3 shift, not 1-2? At 46mph?

Ok I’m home, I clipped it from a video. Will have to go find it now.

In one of the ride-along clips that are going around, they show the tach as the demo driver is blipping the gas in neutral. Momentarily, the tach pegs at 9K when he revs it hard in neutral.

That was from and Eddie X video when he went for a ride in both the Z06 and the Z07, they were going under an overpass and the engineer pulled both paddles and free revved the engine. With no load it's easy to over rev the engine, they must have a lot of confidence in that set up as they have been free revving it a lot from what I've seen.

Great “behind the scenes” video! Very cool to see and hear what it was like in the camo cars that we all so eagerly looked forward to seeing!

Love that sound!! Those revs in idle were/are addictive!

It’s cool to start seeing pre-launch videos like these popping up.

Thanks for sharing!
