I've done some research on this for several dealers that have Z06 deposits and who's getting cars/allocations based on time, and for Stingray in Plant City appears to have a Z06 wait of well over 3 years, an I found someone that had been on the list and just got a car for 42 months (3-1/2 years wait). There are some other dealers that would have produced a quicker car based on time if you had a time machine, IE, if you had gotten on the list 2.5 years ago at Makmulkin and you didn't want Z07, you would most likely have a Z06 in your possession right now. Now the list was much thinner back 3 years ago, ie, before the official launch the # of people putting deposits down was somewhat thin COMPARED to after the media launch where thousands wanted the car and overnight the wait list went up significantly (what I'm trying to say is, the wait if you are only on the list for 2 years may be much, much deeper than the people that have been on the list at 3 to 3.5 years based on the volume placed on the list over a shorter period of time).
Here's the good news for a lot of us (the ones that aren't looking to flip AND can afford a Z06 in today's economy/high interest rates)- There have been many Z06 waitlist dropouts just about at all the dealerships and numbers are moving up and now that we are seeing the big markups/potential to flip going down the drain, us real fans of Corvette that sincerly want a car to enjoy for ourselves will keep getting closer and closer. Paying $150K for a Z06, plus tax and title, at, lets say, 8% on top, and then paying for insurance for 6 months, this might not make sense anymore for a flipper.
This is my unscientific, digging around, asking questions, and spending hours just doing research, it's not gospel nor do I claim it's fully scientific (only going on my available information that I could find). Back in the day, as a Corvette enthusiast, you knew to jump on the wait list... Now it appears that EVERYONE knows to jump on a Corvette waitlist, IE, Eray, Z06, ZR1, "Specialty variety list", etc., and the chances of getting on the list at a real corvette enthusiast/long time owner of the Corvette seems impossible now. I'm not aware of a Chevy dealership that gives consideration for long time Corvette owners/customers/those that really love the car and not trying to just flip for a profit, it's too bad there isn't a ranking system to give loyal owners more of a chance.

For anyone who cares, the Stingray dealership in Bartow is still sitting on their two preowned Z06's. The rapid blue car has been listed for over 200 days and has dropped $52K from their original asking price. The white pearl 70th is at 130+ days with a $30K drop in price.

Never again will I go there. On the Denali they low balled my trade in so much I simply walked out as they tried to get me to come back.
My opinion is they are the worst dealership I have ever tried to purchase a vehicle from.

I know someone that got in early for a Z06 order at Stingray, and it appears that Chevy has been super slow compared to other dealers for filling Z06 allocations for Stingray in Plant City. I have been in absolute shock that he doesn't have his Z yet. Most of the larger dealers, if not all of them, are not at 40+ months (rough number BTW) of waiting.
Kind of makes you wonder- Stingray is a top 5-ish dealer in the entire united states and did so much to sell C7's, and now with over 4200 2023 Z06's manufactured to date they have only delivered a ridiculously small amount of Z06's (30-ish). I've seen videos of Kerbecks with like what, 6-8 Z06's in a row at one time getting ready for delivery? (for clarification, this is NOT a dig on Kerbeck nor am I saying they are favored, just that some "big dealers" like Stingray seem to be getting the shaft).
Seems like Chevrolet is crapping all over some of their large dealers that really worked hard to sell those surplus C7's!! They were marking those down and sometimes even taking a loss (like all the big dealers had to for the last few years of the model) so they could get good allocation numbers for C8's.
I wish everyone the best WAITING AT STINGRAY IN PLANT CITY.

Here's MacMalkin's list, people are getting cars (not just putting an order in!) at less than 3 years on the list, some ever quicker... not the 40+ months to even get an order in at stingray.
Again, this is NOT a bash on Stingray, but wow, it just seems like the filled orders at the top 3 dealers are killing the numbers on Z06's delivered. For an Eray, I think I'd stick to one of the bigger dealers personally.
