Default A man admiring his creation…

I really enjoy this photo… a man (Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter) admiring his creation. The car he’s wanted to build his entire career.

That or he’s arguing with his wife over FaceTime about where to eat dinner.

Clearly they are sparing no expense with the C8. It's like Tadge and team are a bunch of seniors playing like this is their last game. I love my Stingray, I'm blown out of the water what they did with the Z06. I'm going to be like a kid on December 24th for a year and half to two years until I get mine. I have no doubt the E-Ray, ZR-1 etc are also going to be absolutely epic in their respective classes after the Z06. Hats off to the team.

I am very excited about the new ZO6. I am amazed that it comes with 670 hp but even more impressive is that the weight is under 3500 pounds with all the mandatory junk on the car.
I raced/tracked my cars every weekend for 12 years back in the 80's & early 90's. It was normal to buy new tires and brake pads every month. (Try doing that these days when Michelin Cup 2 R tires x 2 cost as much as 4 tires and brakes back then!!!) We had a "rule-of-thumb" that it was normal to equate 100 pounds for 50 hp. Using the weight and Hp of the ZO6 in comparison to the Porsche GT3 and the new ZO6 is looking fantastic in comparison. The 2022 Porsche GT3 weighs in between 3164-3222 with 502 Hp. The ZO6 weighs in as stated yesterday dry at ~~ 3434 pounds so the Rule-of-Thumb shows that the Corvette ZO6 has about a 70Hp advantage tied into the Mid-engine position advantage and larger tire patch all added together makes for a significant win for the ZO6.
Chevrolet successfully built a fantastic car for an incredible price in comparison!!!
