Default Top speed? Quote from Tadge:

"The Z06 is “knocking on the door of the C7 ZR1” in terms of top speed".

The C7 ZR1 was rated at 212 mph and if the Z06 can eclipse the speed of the C6 ZR1 which was rated at 205 mph, it could be the second-fastest production Corvette.

Thats pretty neat. C7 ZR1 is electronically limited at 215 mph so its interesting to see where the C8Z ends up being only 670horses.

What a great time we live in when we can say "only 670 horse" and be serious!

I think top speed isn't all that important. What is important is the 100 mph to 170 mph time. This is where I expect the Z06 t blow away the Z51 Stingray.

The 0-60 time maybe a little better but who cares.

The Stingray goes in 5th at 114, this will be at 140 going into 5th. I don't expect a ton of pull out of 5th but it will have 170 more hp at that point then the Stingray to work with. We really don't know the width of all the power bands yet so there is no reason to get to excited one way or another.

Of course it should blow away the Z51 Stingray 100-170 MPH. Plenty of people care about the 0-60 time as evidenced by the amount of print and discussion it gets. I know I was shocked to find out that my Z51 C8 was advertised right off the bat at 2.8 seconds. Pleasantly shocked but shocked never the less.

I thought the Reveal of the Z06 was really short on info that matters compared to the reveal of the C8 Stingray on 7/18/19..

ZR1 is 212mph with the low wing. High wing does 202.
