They could have made two pieces of molded plastic that resembled the fit over each side of the intake manifold, and maybe some mesh in between similar to that 488 valve cover, that would be an improvement, but not going change my buying decision or keep me up at night.

I would hardly call that bland. Do you need some sparkle paint?

I like the HTC but as a c7z driver I look forward to feedback about on track performance ie cooling or any lack Therof. Unless my number comes up quickly in which case I will provide that feedback.

I wish the cam covers were bright red and the manifold was silver.

Who gives a flyin' flip what the engine bay looks like...
...when one has the all-time holy grail of NA engines sitting in it?
I'm still in shock-and-awe thinking about this engineering masterpiece and its availablability to the public - with a warranty!
GREAT JOB GM!!!

The
Z06 looks 👍, but I do believe that if you check all the options out for the Z07 we are going to be way over $150K , just alone all the carbon fiber are adds on for xtra $$$ (inside, engine cover, wheels …..) I would be surprise just the carbon fiber alone will be close to $25k all in.
can’t wait to see the price from GM

sorry, the new engine is a monster but it's a butter face compared to it's predecessor They could have spiffed up the intake and got rid of the crappy looking tupper ware to show what the new koth looks like
the lt5 much more of a looker. Nice flowing castings and lines like the best from aston martin and others that make engines that don't need to hide behind a veil

HTC for me, it will have better exhaust sound with top up or down. LT6 looks a lot better than LT2 but not enough to beat the sound of it in a htc IMO. Would love to have a viewable engine in a HTC though, for the first time ever they've made me want not only a convertible but also a coupe, lol. I guess another bonus to the htc besides sound is I won't have to clean the engine bay constantly.
I wonder if the ZR1 HTC will have a see through panel to view the engine?? HMM

I read elsewhere that there will an owner-participation engine-build option. Maybe that will offer more color options to drive the cost higher.
