For me ZERO
ME pricing is already high compared to US
Stingray 1LT/Z51 starts at $92k up to $133k

Some unfortunate few of us do not have the same luxury of time that most of you have. Sometimes our window is closing and we know about it compliments of the big C. I ordered my C8 immediately after the reveal. I had been waiting for the mid engine Corvette for about 50 years and was dammed if I was going to die before getting one. I am not sure whether or not I will be around for the Z06, but if I am I will not be in a huge hurry. New engine after all.
As said many times TIME vs MONEY - pretty much the same thing.
Hopefully by the second or third year getting one at MSRP won't be difficult. There are already dealers that are selling for MSRP, but their lists do tend to be longer.
My answer 0$ over MSRP.

Will you over msrp
Zero ! I’ll drive my C8 for a couple of years and after all the hype do a trade in at buy at msrp or lower. I’m on 3 dealer lists I’ll just wait and see in a few years.

The value propostion is different for everyone.
If, to you, this car is your garage ornament, that only comes out for the weekend wash and the 45 mph cruise to the cars and coffee and then back to the garage. Yeah, perhpaps your value proposition is low and paying anything over MSRP doesn't make sense. Nothing wrong with that. But you'll have to wait for your allocation if you order the car from the MSRP dealer.
If, to you, this car is a status symbol, or attention getter, or a source of income, whether that be social media or resale opportunity, then time is of the essence, and paying a certain amount over MSRP to get it while it's hot, meets that value proposition for you.
If, to you, this car is about the performance, the driving experience it offers along with styling and tech. Then you look objectively at what it has to offer compared to other cars on the market closest to those performance and styling levels. When this car, even after the $30-$40K market value adjustment still comes in tens, if not hundreds of thousand less than the closest "supercar", then perhaps the value proposition makes sense to you.
Point is that MSRP and Market Value have nothing to with eachother. If you won't or can't pay the current market value, on anything, either wait for the market to come to you, or go find the best one out there that you can find priced within your budget or what you are willing to pay. But stop calling retailers "crooks" that are simply trying to get the most they can for a low supply, high demand product.
