Nope.
It's a new z06, it's mid engine, it looks like a real supercar. And it'll sound like a supercar.

All depends on real world performance. If it’s not faster from 60-130 than the previous generation I’ll go back. That being said I think GM will give us all something to be happy about.

Another meaningless poll that isolates a single variable and asks potential voters to completely ignore all the other variables that go into a buying decision...How much is the car going to cost? What does the torque curve look like? Will demand and resale values remain high? What are the track times and other performance specs? The only thing dumber than answering a worthless poll like this is making up a worthless poll like this.

No, but I also believe regardless of what it ends up being powered by, it’ll be 650+.

Not that I believe this...... But if .....They get the weight down 200lbs and posts great times sounds fine to me. Too many variables left out to answer on this poll. Same weight as Stingray with 600 hp I'll move my deposit to the ZR1

This poll is ridiculous. Like shark said too many variables left out. That said if the weight is 3600+and only 600hp you guys would pay 25-30k more for that over a base car? Ya definitely sounds worth it to me. 🙄

This poll is meant to determine the percentage of people who flat out refuse to buy the car if it has less horsepower than the C7 Z06... It assumes that the respondents already have an order, deposit or agreement with a dealer to buy a car.

I have had several C7 Z06's, several C7 ZR1's, yea the hp was great, but no traction, the C8 with less hp will be faster because of the engine location, i.e. traction

The C7 Grand Sport was widely regarded as a better balanced track car than the C7 Z06. The C8 Z06 will likely have 160 more horsepower than the C7 GS and yet some folks just dismiss the C8 Z06 because of the horsepower of the C7 Z06.

They could surprise everyone and spend all their time and money on weight reduction I suppose. They'd have to improve something. I seriously doubt they're going to make a heavier and less powerful car than the previous generation, but my guess is just that.
Plus, if the Stingray is 495hp, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to make a $30k upgrade model that only makes 100 more hp or something along those lines. I would venture to guess they'd lose a lot of customers if they made a less powerful heavier z06 and it cost $30k more than the base and didn't have enough power to justify the jump. HP figures sell cars, especially the Corvette.
Heck, I'm not even a HP junkie (so the widebody, brakes, cooling, aero, etc mean a lot more to me than than the typical buyer) and I'd have trouble paying $30k more for 100 more hp. Especially if it came with 200 more pounds.
The R&D and money has to go to something. So if it's "only" 600hp, Id imagine something else improved.
