The previous few posts sound just like the ones SKANK and I made a couple. years back when speculating on the cost of the C8. We both thought it'd be in the mid 80's due to the plethora of technology and upgraded goods that seemed destined to be on the car. Lo and behold, GM came out with a very inexpensive (relatively speaking) base unit and bought into the Porsche routine of allowing for copious, and expensive, options. Most people landed cars that cost them well over the mid 80's when delivered. What makes anyone think that this success story will be changed? Bring out the Z06 under 90k and let her rip with options!

I am off that day, and feel that it would be silly to attempt to produce any meaningful work for anyone on that day.
With that said, would anyone in southern california want to put up a reveal party somewhere? It might be fun to get a forum group together?
It could be a hell of a breakfast gathering at some place with internet access...

Well, that and the fact its an online event with a film and a panel discussion. I think the details of the announcement provided the details of the announcement. For the details of the car, you actually still have to wait for 10/26.

GM Authority posted this info about the reveal. Can’t speak to the journalist’s accuracy.

Can someone find those articles? This close to the reveal date and everyone is still singing the same tune about the car.
That really has to mean something.

Excuse me BUT GM has a contract/relationship with Ilmore https://www.ilmor.com/About/our-story to provide Indy engines. Odd that they would contract Cosworth for this engine.
"lmor's ties to IndyCar run deep—our company was founded to design and build turbocharged engines for the American-based IndyCar series. The partnership between Swiss-born Mario Illien, British native Paul Morgan, and American businessman and racing team owner Roger Penske was first powered by General Motors, and an all new eight cylinder turbocharged Chevrolet engine. In 1986, four-time Indy winner Al Unser became the first to race with the Ilmor-designed engine, and in April 1987 Mario Andretti was the first to secure an Ilmor win. The Ilmor-Chevrolet engine went on to win multiple championships, and rapidly became the dominant engine in Indy racing.
Ilmor later partnered with Mercedes-Benz to produce the MB500I, perhaps the most powerful engine in the nearly 100-year history of the Indy 500. It was driven to victory by famed Indy racer Al Unser, Jr.
From 2003-2011, Ilmor worked in partnership with Honda Performance Development, a partnership that produced well over 150 victories.
In 2012, Ilmor reunited with Chevrolet Racing to develop and race a twin-turbocharged, direct-injected V6 engine for competition in IndyCar. Since then, Chevrolet and Ilmor captured six back to back Manufacturers Championships, and are a dominant force in the series every year."

Not sure I will be in the market to buy one of these but I am looking forward to the reveal. I wasn’t in the market for the c7z either but was so blown away by it that I ended up getting an early 2015 so we will see. Fun stuff
