I like what I see a lot. The complaints the car is getting is normal. By the time these start hitting the streets the majority will have converted to loving it. It's how this always goes with new generation model reveals.

I think it's a large improvement. Wheels alone are worth it - nicest wheels we've seen on a C8 so far. Front bumper is a wash. I don't like one more than the other. I love the big arch over the front fender, though. The 'wishbone' will look fantastic in Carbon Fiber, specially against a good color.
I do believe this is the most tame version of the car, which will in all honestly probably sell pretty well. Steel brakes, not much aero, engine noise and looks. That's what the majority (read : not the type on this forum) want for a Z06.
I dig it.

This group is fun. Think of how other brands do this for their higher level performance models. Porsche will give you a 911 Turbo that doesn't look terribly aggressive and not massively different than the basic 911. You want more aggression in a track focused car, they have a GT3/GT2 for you with a big wing, aero, etc. Hell the C7 to C7GS-Z wasn't all that dramatic all things considered but it all added up
There is more width here, more aggressive body work and we still haven't seen all of the angles. I think it looks good and confident when you see it side by side with a base C8, the details will be much more apparent.

I'm praying you are right. Because this thing better have 900 hp and run the ring in 6:30 because if it has the wishbone it's ugly. Is this a Bob Lutz troll or is he back tacking useless **** on the side of GM vehicles? I can't imagine that would have the wishbone when the c8r looks that good. Even Pratt and Miller didn't want it on the car.... Assuming this is the final car.

Love the "wing" in the grill (we knew that was coming).
Wish the splitter was full length all the way around rather than tracing the indent.
Side scoop is MUCH better
Wheels are much better
Are those wheel well vents out the back (parallel to door seam)?
Surprised no additional scoops or vents (hood, rear quarter panel like the C7, etc)
Expected more aggressive side skirts. Looks like 3/4 length like the C7 GS had
All red interior?
Given the wheels have some concavity/dish/offset, and assuming they didn't change the frame, control arms, etc, that looks like it's going to be a good 2" wider in the rear and 1" wider in the front.
Overall, definitely hoping for more. Pretty boring. Which is more or less what we can expect from GM. Wider fenders and a lip spoiler.

Ugliest part of the car IMO it looks like a side ways Y, and judging from the picture it's pretty proud from the body so it will stick out like a sore thumb. I will reserve my full opinion until after the reveal but my initial reaction is it's not what I expected especially with all the hype behind this car.

I was NOT expecting that at all...
I was confident C8Z would look similar to C8R.

If this is true, it is SO underwhelming. I literally just told my 911 friend that I love it since I have a base model and if this is how it looks, the average person won’t have a clue this is an upgraded car. But if I had waited for the Z06 - after everything we’ve gone through, only to see a modified boomerang and a C7 non-active-aero spoiler, I’d be pissed. And any Z06 allocation member on here who says differently, has to be kidding. Where’s hood venting, front fender venting, cool ground effects, a big wing like the camouflaged cars from YouTube???if this is real, this is a horrible let down. I just don’t believe this can be IT. GM must be pulling everyone’s leg so the true reveal is so much better than this.

I could see this on the Eray. Then again maybe the Eray gets the C8 R look to boost sales. At this point I'm expecting NA 550-600 hp so we can disappointed all the way.
