Then, they had to do a rush redesign to attempt to fix that abortion. which was the 6th Gen Camaro.
The redesign was too little, too late, which resulted in abysmal sales...again.
They laughed, while their arrogance and incompetence caused the death of Camaro....again.
All they had to do was combine the incredible ATS-V coupe , with the legendary pushrod V8, and put a a Chevy badge on it.
Instead, they laughed..... while they destroyed and American Icon..
GM still offers the best cars for the money, but they always are inches away from perfection, then they ****** defeat from the jaws of victory.
As a diehard GM buyer and owner, it's gut wrenching and maddening.

Oooh, NO, at least in my opinion. The rear air intakes look like poor Ferrari knock offs, and the front fascia design is even worse. The side skirts are hideous.

So all the people bitching they don’t like it move on to something else. Makes my Z06 get built faster.

Not in love with it, that's for sure. I have a hard time believing that they are showing us everything a month before the official reveal, though. Wouldn't be surprised to see some changes.
The side intake on the base car was a poorly executed design and they seem to have made it worse. Wheels offsets aren't good, the front fender looks a little off, and the rear fender area is too damn tall. Look at the height difference vs that Maserati or any other mid engine. Thats an area that needs significant improvement, however would require a fundamental design change we won't see.

I'm not sure how much more clear I can make it... the C8Z is completely different in styling from the base car and the C8R. The C8R has canards, but those are additional aero devices added on. They have nothing to do with the swept back style vs. the "pointed" cheek style.
I really thought the mules had added camo and padding (similar to what they do to hide the side intake shape), and that the front intake shape would sweep back more like the Stingray and C8.R.

Next is the McLaren GT. The performance checks. The HTC does not.
Ferrari F8 most likely a beat in looks (not sure yet) but not GT enough.
Huracan is something I will double check before final decision.
All the others are 500K cars I am not interested in paying no matter how beautiful they are (see Ferrari SF90 and co)
So yes, I think from what I am seeing so far the C8 Z06 is the best styled powerful ME daily driver HTC I can think of.
The "style" that is winning me over is that somewhat the Z06 strikes me as more curvy than the base. More elegant if you will.

Funny, nobody liked the large rear wing the first time we saw it. Now everybody wants it. There has never been a consensus on the looks of any generation or any variant, why should we expect that to change now? The reality is, most everyone will grow to like the Z06 when they view it in person. My order will be going forward and I'm sure I'll be grinning every time I put my right foot down and listen to it wail.

Any chance the graphics gurus can render the HTC version.
I could see the the Y tail flow very well with the lines of the roof down?

I parked next to a red C8 yesterday. I looked at it a bit as I walked by. I saw a C7Z06 parked a few rows over and loved the rear of it. It looks awesome. A few years ago, I thought it was just meh, at best.

In my opinion, the green redo of the car looks very good. The Z07 packaged cars look good!
