I was also excited to see a potential 7:12 lap. Also, because the start and finish line are in two different places, the 7:12 would have included 9 to 12 seconds when you finish one lap to start the next, this includes a chicane.

But I just looked at the video, and maybe I am missing something, but I think the 7:12 that Jared showed is actually two different cars.

Awesome. What day was this filmed? I thought industry pool was over; I guess they let manufacturer cars still test outside of industry pool as well?

After looking at the video carefully I believe it is just a different video footage from the last week.

Manufacturers can test outside of the industry pool, but they will not have a clear track to set fast laps.

I wish we could get that rollbar as a factory option. They had the same thing in the Stingrays.

I-pool will start again on next Tuesday September 14 for 2 weeks. This video was filmed in the last I-pool 2 weeks ago.

Definitely. But what was weird was the low wing car that pulled out right after it.. I didn't hear it.

Could they be testing a GS there as well? Would be too early I'd think for this level of testing of a ZR1

I tried to hear any sign of a turbo and I couldn't hear a thing that would convince me that was a turbo. Sounded like shifting under throttle more than anything. We would have heard a definitive turbo by now based on all the video.

definitely sounds like a turbo there. Slight whistle as they start accelerating, just like my ecoboost cars.

Possibly, but the M2 was cruising, the turbo sound definitely seemed like it was accelerating.
