Finally C8 Z06 at Nürburgring With Light Camo
#61
I'm hoping you're right about this. I've grown fond of the C8.R side scoop design.

Definitely excited. I like the return to the center exhaust, however I thinking they are holding the active aero for the ZR1.

Whoever designed the rear of the car should be drug out onto the street and left there in oncoming traffic ...You mean GM designers could not come up with a cool aggressive rear diffuser to break up the wall of fiberglass back there ... It's now official the designers at GM have absolutely no taste

Plot twist: That's not a camo wrap, that's the actual final exterior finish, everything is made of forged/chopped cf

Maybe you are clairvoyant or work for GM on the Corvette so have enough information to make a good judgement.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to me that rear wing looks dumb for a street car. Looks "Ricer." GM needs to do better with aero management to achieve down force without massive wings. It is about as subtle as a sledgehammer.

To me, if it is not functional, I don't want a wing. It is designed for the track, not the street. If you want a pure street car design, they have the base model. The Z06 is for those that want track oriented style and performance. It sounds like it is not for you.

Without knowing what is behind that "wall of fiberglass" one can not really ascertain what parameters the designers had to work with. Without that one cannot determine if they have "no taste, or just little room to work with.

Ridiculous overreaction how about we wait until the reveal before passing judgement? Its designed to look ugly and not right in camo. I think the rear changes are going to visually change the proportions to create more low and wide look, which will do wonders for the rear end design IMO.

Not digging the wing. I wish GM could do something similar to the wing on the McLaren 720s. Make it active so when needed it comes into play or when in track mode.

I don't mind a big rear wing, just not the one we're seeing on the Z06 mule. I'm praying there are better options available.

I'm purely speculating here as I have no knowledge of said: I'll bet the non-Z07 option will have a spoiler more akin to the Z51 car. Perhaps even lower than that. If you don't want the track wing, don't order Z07. Simple.
