For all those talking about how great a NA FPC will sound I guarantee it won't sound as great as an SVJ but it will be even more humiliated by it's competition (far inferior to a 765) and for those touting track performance this will happen on every straight on every track .
If GM follows through and puts out the rumored 600ish hp car, don't pre order , a lot of early adopters will be dumping their disappointments at deep discounts ..
Underperformance made the original Stingray an all show no go laughing stock as well, seems GM learned NOTHING

Modified C8 of the Year 2021 Finalist
Thanks for letting me know it won't perform as well as $360k+ cars. I canceled my order, you saved me big time bro!

Take a breath there sport. No one knows what the Z06 is going to be yet so don't get so worked up. And in what world is a Corvette supposed to compete with an SVJ and 765? Maybe the ZR1 or Zora might but if that's what you're expecting for the Z06, don't.

who ever said it would??? what % of people on the planet want or more importantly can afford a $360,000 car or would buy one even if they could ???
even if I had the money for a car that expensive I WOULD NEVER BUY ONE....... why? Rather have a New ZO6, New CT6 V, and a new New Escalade ESV and I still have $10 - $20,000 walking around money.
Unless of course your name is Bill Gates, Fitty Cent or Tom Brady.......

You know personally I've never really liked the way an Aventador sounds. It sounds like a kazoo to me.

They suck. Showboat car. Friend of mine had one and lasted 7 months with it. Constantly on a ramp truck, weird sound, and horribly uncomfortable unless you are 5' 6". Waaaay to look at me.

Very few cars sound as good as a Lambo V12, and fewer can keep up with an SVJ. The same goes for a Mac 765LT. These are true super cars. The C8 is a GT sports car, much more in common with a Camaro or Mustang than an Aventador or 765LT.

You have to like that sound. A V8 Mustang sounds better to me.

I like the way many cars sound. Lots of great sounding variation out there.

The only way a NA Z06 makes sense is for it to be a 7.0 liter DOHC similar to the 750hp/8Krpm Mercury SB4.
A 5.5 liter/ 9Krpm motor is not likely to match the torque of a LT2 under 4000 rpm - where most street driving is done.
I find it unlikely that this would be acceptable to most paying a Z06 premium for a vehicle that feels weaker unless at WOT above 4000 rpm.
The only thing that makes sense for a Z06 is a big-inch NA (which Tadge said wouldn't meet emissions) or a turbo 5.5 liter.

Fair assessment but look at Ford GT350/350R sales. The voodoo is known to be dead at low rpm but the car is ver popular in part due to it’s emotion-driven high rpm nature. The same for many exotic cars like Ferraris.
