But, a LOT of us have NEVER owned a Corvette and a LOT of us are considering different cars INCLUDING the C8 Corvette. So, getting the perspective of a C8 owner that owns AND drives different performance cars is good to get.
I for one was VERY interested in a 2020 GT350R, 2020 GT500 base, or a 2020 C8 Z51. This "kid" has had all THREE at the SAME TIME (and now has a McLaren 600). So yeah, I have been VERY interested in what he says.
I REALLY thought I would LOVE to have a GT500 Track Pack car. After watching his go through consumables at the track..not for me (I am not rich). It ate up fuel and tires at an exceptional rate.
Overall, he us YOUNG, he sincerely tries hard to bring good info IMO. It is easy to hate on him that is for sure...but, if any of us could go back and do what he is doing at his age.....damn.

Hmmm, ya. No mention of the McLaren's $250,000.00 starting price.

I like hearing his perspective among several good presenters. IMO the ethos of the two cars is very different. The C8 is a Macro-good car, a GT car that puts up respectable performance times. The LT is a Micro-great car, a specialized track car that’s technology makes it do well in some aspects on the road too.

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
This title is wrong
It should be "Here's what the exotics need to do to take down the C8".
The C8 sales numbers are BLOWING AWAY the competition.

Seems he shares the opinion of many on this forum... I doubt that GM will go that direction though... 95% of the Z06 demographic wants all the fuff and practicality only with more bragging rights specs and numbers and a more aggressive look.

His videos are part of what moved me from a GT500 buyer to a C8 buyer.
The one overriding thing I notice from all his videos is the C8 just WORKS amazingly well in all attributes. He has gone through the Super Snake, GT500, GT500 TrackPack, GT350R, C8, and now Mclaren 600LT...the one constant has been the C8.
The C8 may not be the fastest, loudest, most expensive, etc etc etc...but, it gets the job done in fantastic fashion.
I would imagine he will soon move on from the C8 Stingray.....maybe

Synopsis:
I don't know anything about how the C8 is constructed, and why it is constructed that way, so I am going to suggest changes that would require they change the way they need to construct it, and thus take away some of the advantages I noted Corvette had.
As little as he knows about the Corvette and automotive engineering and design, he feels he can tell GM how to make it right.
Not impressed.

The C8 needs 200+ HP to keep up with exotics, let alone take them down. This is something GM can offer. This + some more aggressive styling, better brakes, tires and suspension components, and MAYBE weight reduction and active aero is all you are going to see. It still needs to built on the same production line to remain profitable and consistent with the final assembly process at BG.

All Corvette need to KEEP doing is provide a reliable good looking product @ a reasonable price. do not need a $200,000 version of a Corvette

Many have commented that there will be a Zora model of the C8. They tout 1000hp. Now if that is real, it could be a supercar contender. Right now we have a very nice sports car that is the best base corvette ever.
