Will Z06 axles fit?
Haven't seen this asked yet, but wonder if Z06 axles are upgraded and are they a direct swap item?

Bigger, stickier tires. As for ordering a set, I suspect that for some time they will be made of unobtanium if you try and order a set.

The axles are the weaker link and the least expensive to repair. Stronger axles will put more strain on the DCT. I'm not sure I would give an excuse for GM to deny DCT warranty repairs.

I recall seeing an article about the improvements in the Z06 transaxle, and I think larger axle mounts were listed, which probably means they won't fit. Yep, here it is:

If someone wants to be the guinea pig, here are the z06 half shaft part numbers:
Left hand side: 85597888
Right hand side: 85597887
Around 600 bux for both.
The output shafts on the transmission all have different part numbers between the models (non-z51, z51, z06) so the half shafts might actually not fit.
Bonus info, the z06 clutch basket assembly is 2k, probably better going with dodson or raybestos clutches.
