Installation going well. The Hornet airbox alone is approximately 35% larger.

Trying to contain the excitement. The Hornet should match up well with my HJS 200 cell cats, ported throttle body and ported intake manifold.

Very nice, looks like we're following a similar mod path so far, except I did headers and no cats yet. Looks like you have Fabspeed? I've been mainly eyeing up Paragon's. How was the install? Did you remove the headers and/or muffler?

Thanks for posting pictures of the intake job! Very curious to hear your impressions!

my understanding it is in closed loop except at start up and limp home. So it is constantly reading the O2 revolution to revolution. So constantly. I believe the commanded AFR at WOT is 12.3 or 12.7, IIRC, somewhere in there. We no is does this because those with headers, CAI and high flow cats, and a cat back exhaust have achieved gains, and none have had tuning.

How is the install going? Mine should arrive Monday. I have 2M Headers and Sport Cats with Paragon Exhaust. Slightly ported stock intake Manifold Soler 100mm TB… We shall see how it performs 👊

Halltech Hornet CAI 2.5 hour shop labor install went smooth with the very large air box fitting perfectly. Was surprised how small the stock air box is setting next to the Hornet visually would guess an approximate increase of 35% capacity, maybe even more.

Was present for first start up and as expected no CEL. Could not tell any increase in engine compartment volume but exterior sound is increased 20% during cold start or redline runs.

Interesting fact that was not expected. Have a throttle controller from Soler Performance set on SP5 which always been pretty aggressive, but now with the new Hornet CAI the throttle response is even more sensitive, this I did not expect. Going forward, might decrease throttle setting since the Soler has 37 individual settings, this mod is really good with the C8 and would recommend for anyone that has ported out their throttle body or intake manifold or has done both.

Jim Hall has stated going with the new Attack Blue filter over the previous planned K&N that there will be a further increased in RWHP/TQ than was previously dyno’ed with the K&N, those numbers were 17RWHP/25TQ. Driving now after the install approx 50 miles on Sat and Sun this absolutely has got to be true. The increase in low end as well as high end power feels way more in the butt meter to me than the earlier 17RWHP/25TQ numbers. The car pulls like crazy, the largest increase felt from any of my previous mods. Very impressive, this is an outstanding Halltech product and definitely would recommend.

Awesome news. I would love to see how this pairs with the Performance Design Carbon pTR. I have one on order that is not spoken for yet if you are interested.

I've got the Lingenfelter mani, 95mm throttle body, and exhaust on order. My Halltech will be here tomorrow. I'll try and get some dyno time scheduled and do a baseline and then one with all the mods.

The LT2 intake manifold is still a huge improvement vs. the highly-compromised LT1 version. I had mine ported by Ruben @ SoCal Porting and am happy with the improvement just cleaning up and smoothing out the factory imperfections.

Default Pre-orders have shipped

We just received another load of filters yesterday. All caught up. We have systems that have gone out to Katech, Redline MS, Summit Racing, Geiger Cars in Germany, and many other premier shops with dynos.

This intake is the most efficient, and powerful intake for the C8.on the market today.

It'd be funny if I get mine through USPS before Geiger get theirs!

Just opened mine, and it was as everyone has said. Well made and well packaged. I'll be waiting on the install until my other parts get here (whenever that might be) since I only want to take the rear bumper off once. Not necessary for this install, but with the high wing it will be easier.

Any more install reports? Does it feel like it is producing the power reported by Halltech? How does it sound?
