Anyone tried to port these yet?

Full disclosure: I'm a terrible photographer!
Once again Ruben @ SoCal Porting has absolutely knocked it out of the park; this thing is beautiful and easily the nicest LT1 or LT2 ported intake manifold I've ever laid my hands on (I tried 3 different ones on my C7 alone). I would say in addition to the inlet of course, the 8 runners were all 95% touched with manufacturing flaws removed and seams & joints smoothed. If anyone would like additional or specific pictures, please let me know I'm quite excited to get this and my Soler ported throttle body bolted on, to say the least! If anyone needs some IM/TB cores let me know.

Soler sells a ported TB for the LT2 and Wilson has a ported LT2 IM. Both are on my "wishlist" once my C8 arrives.

Both mods performed well on my C7!

Yes I have ported both. The gains are about what other LT powered cars have shown so you're looking at about 10-15 hp, it may not sound like much for the money spent but if you look at it from the perspective that tuning will not become available anytime soon, then you don't have many options.
The 1 7/8 AR Headers have been the biggest bang for the buck in returns on improved power, they showed 17 peak hp but up to 34 under the curve. Those 3 mods alone will put a gap against a stock c8, assuming traction isn't an issue.

The LT2 throttle body is the same part number as LT1 and LT4. They are interchangeable.

We have had the modified and ported C8 TB out for a while now! Check out our store. Same performance/features as our LT1/LT4 TB. We have to update the pictures on our site since we have done a few updates since then but lots of C8's already using it (looks more like the LT4 TB).

We have a 91mm (from $275, no tune required) and a 100mm (from $335, requires tune, adapter included). Add a controller ($95) in any case for a complete throttle control solution.

If you have ported your manifold we'll match either the TB or the Adapter (if required) to meet your porting on the manifold, this is also complementary, please coordinate with us before ordering.

No other modification will change your car so much for so little, so easily, and warranty safe.

Cheers!

Since the C8 ECM hasnt been cracked or is able to be tuned I would think that means any of yours or any other companies TB that requires a tune would not work on the C8 then currently.

That's correct. The 91mm does not require a tune. The 100mm runs without a tune but it is less than optimum and might throw codes.

I added a ported TB on my c7 z06 A8 and it helped driveability a good amount do to the lag on the pedal and also because I think due to it being S/C.

Can you explain the benefit and what you noticed on a N/A C8 with the DCT trans (which is far superior to the A8).

Thanks,
Mike

Not sure if you had one of ours on your C7. But basically, the same effect on the C8 regardless of the transmission, this effect is magnified if you also add the controller. WOT power TBD, as we do not have a dyno on a C8 yet.

All our C8/DCT customers love it.

Thanks,

It is actually the same 87mm that comes with the LT2, ported to have the WOT flow area of a 91mm, plus other features at partial throttle.

Went with the 95mm Throttle Body Matching by Gwatney Performance, another excellent company. No codes and no tuning required.

As stated, easy 15 HP at not a lot of cost. Great Mod for the C8.

Yes went with the whole package manifold with the 95mm TB. 2.5 hr install. Gwatney quality, shipping and communication was outstanding.
