I was wrong, the car is fast.
I drove my 2024 Z51 for a month and a half now and honestly I was not impressed. It hit 560 miles and I took it out tonight and it runs faster that ever before. I swear it has more torque. The tires will break loose a little when I floor it. Am I loosing my mind or do these car get faster with miles?

The car has had 100% power available from day one. It's no faster now than it was then, you're just driving it differently.

Richard,
You and your C8 are special. That's why yours feels faster as the time and miles progress.

Regardless of the reason for not feeling faster, it is a nice thing the experience.

I'm nearly at 5,000 miles and I am still very surprised at how much power and torque this car has., it literally is like nothing I expected.
This car is amazing to say the least, thank you Chevrolet.

The rpm is limited for the first 500 for a reason, for the motor to break in.
The rings are tight, etc.
After 500 everything is ready to go. Somewhere the owners manual says complete break in 1500 miles, so it keeps getting better.

When I first got mine, I was struck by the feeling that it wasn't that fast. Part of it was coming from the M2, which has the hilarious combination of a lot of boost and a really firm suspension that made every driving dynamic feel more exciting than it had to be. Also, while it makes a fantastic noise when you get on it, the C8 doesn't really scream/roar/etc like a lot of performance cars. It's very much like coming from a shrieking inline four-cylinder motorcycle to a Ducati twin - the Duc will almost always be faster and more powerful, but it won't sound as dramatic as an R6, etc.
What I figured out is that the C8 has a really long throttle pedal travel - I had to consciously tell myself to mat it when I wanted 100% throttle. Once I calibrated my brain/foot to that, it feels as fast as it really is. I think the Soler throttle controller is probably a good idea.

The RPMs are not limited in any way for the first 500 mi. The gauges just make you think they are. As mentioned above only torque is managed in gears 1 & 2. Here, straight from Tadge,
"We decided for the first 500 miles to limit maximum torque in first and second gears. The torque reduction is roughly 25 to 30% depending on which transaxle (standard or Z51) and which gear. That may sound like a big reduction, but in reality the car is still really fast. In fact, you could easily spin the tires on some surfaces. Engine speed is not limited at all – it will wind out to redline."

*Edit your last sentence to: The Soler controller is DEFINITELY a good idea!

don't bother with a throttle controller, you're taking away a little something from the driving experience.
you may think its the other way around but think on it some more.. a TC just gives it a % more throttle than your foot already is. solution, press down just that much more with your foot and be the one driving, not some gadget.
its your car and your driving experience, don't give any of it away =D
@sowega you know how you can adjust the clutch lever to engage at a sooner point, then it fully engages, then after that, the lever continuing to "let out" is literally wasted as its not actually doing anything at that point? the long travel of the pedal in the C8 is sorta the same deal, just opposite.. the long travel of the pedal lets you more finely modulate what you're doing. be selfish with your throttle control, don't let any of it be taken over by some electronic doo-dad.

The instrument panel shows 6500 rpm. My Launch monitor never gets to 6500 at WOT shifts in track mode.

Here I am on the opposite side of the OP
I took mine out for a quick "sprint" today at lunch and I was begging it for MORE power... the more I drive mine, the slower is seems.
