On your iPhone... so, the update is for it? Why not a notice on your Vette?

And....what did the notice say? A typical notice will indicate that there is an update available for your particular car. It may say its available for download, or it may say its ready to be installed (meaning it has already been downloaded). Either way, its not supposed to install until you allow it in the car, using the menu. You can go to your car and there is an option to check for available updates.

Thanks for those who gave an honest and intelligent answer. Appears the forum has turned into a social media app instead of a place to get help with issues on the C8 corvette. Used to be in the C5 section and never heard bad responses

I don't see a bad response yet in this thread, but I do not see an answer to your question which was "what is going on". Without more info on what the notice actually said it difficult to tell. As noted, if its an update for your vehicle, you should also be able to check the status of that in the car to see if one is available. And, as you may or may not know, there is no 'blanket update' that goes out to all the C8 generally, In fact, they typically do not go out to all of the cars in a model year. They seem to come out at different time for different owners. Updates also typically come with an explanation which can also be accessed from in the car, and you can see it before you accept it. Even updates with the same explanation appear to come at different time for different owners. Meaning of one person gets an update the rest of us may not, and will not know "whats going on". It would help if you could see what the update is, by accessing it in your car, and then sharing it on the forum.

My 2021 hasn't gotten an OTA in about 2 years. GM;s OTA process is totally kludged.
