How much should I pay for ceramic coating my C8 20 spoke wheels and calipers?

get some Gyeon RIM and do it yourself. It’ll take you all about a half hour per wheel. I’ve done mine with two coats and they look fantastic, brake Dust just flies right off. If you’re gonna get it done, figure 45 minutes per wheel and whatever their labor rate is. I would figure 100 per wheel.

I had mine professionally done. Paid $200 for all (4) before they were mounted on the car. They quoted me $400 if they were already on the car.

Thanks for the info I’d gladly pay $400 but I’ve been quoted $800 at the first place I went

Yeah that's too much. Consider shopping around for another quote or doing it yourself like many here have done. Good luck

Shouldn't be more than about $400 total for all 4 wheels. Might be less if you take the wheels to them as opposed to taking your whole car to them. Or, if you have them detail your car you might get a better deal to add on the ceramic coating for the wheels at the same time.

If you change the brake pads you don't need to to Ceramic coat the wheels.

You don't need to ceramic coat anything but it does make it easier to clean and maintain during regular washings.

The wheels do not need cleaning if you get rid of the Z51 brake pads.

well I disagree. I don’t run a Z51 and I still like my wheels cleaner than how they are after a month left alone. Ceramic coat allow you to hose them off and literally they are pristine. Ceramic also protects the wheel long-term if you’re in any type of winter environment.

a treatment halfway to full ceramic is Gyeon WetCoat. Wash the wheel real good , spray it down, hose it off and it leaves a light ceramic coat over the entire wheel. It works well.

I beg to differ. Changed the brake pads to CarboTech 1521's as soon as I took delivery of my Z51 C8. No more dust but they are much easier to wash & shine since I got the car ceramic coated a few months later. I'm talking specifically about the grey trident wheels.

I have little brake dust because I have a base C8 but I’m lazy and don’t want to to scrub the wheels with 20 spokes every time I drive. I’ve switched from base wheels which were easy to reach to the 20 spoke bright and they are difficult to reach.

2 fairly local places to me were both Xpel shops. $200 for just the outside face (what I had done), and I believe it was another $400 to do the whole wheel and the callipers.

Mine are the same wheels and I had to clean them every other day with the stock Z51 pads. After changing to Power Stop I clean my wheels every 6 months now.

Any reason you wont do it yourself? You could get Adam's Advanced Spray Coating for about $40 and apply it to your wheels and calipers to give you 12 to 18 months of protection. You just need to get your wheels, barrels and calipers polished - which again you can do. A DA micro-polisher on Amazon would be $80.

That is not true at all. There is still a little bit of brake dust plus over time you get road grime/film that will build up. I’ve never ever ever heard of anyone not cleaning their wheels. lol
