I'm still struggling with "no USB" . It used to work but now the USB isn't recognized. I've tried every trick suggested on this fourm. Fortunately Spotify always works, but it doesn't rely on GM technology.

I'm picking two unconventional songs on my list that are niche even among younger generations but well representative of the cultures they come from. Good harmonics with clean highs and lows that especially slap in the C8 sound system.

I converted this mix to FLAC. I'm not super into these pop hits but when redone as electro house EDM covers, this mix totally transforms them so they sound great in the C8 sound system. Sort of a snapshot of music that was trending during the C8's era. I have similar lists of period correct songs from my cars during the 2000s and 2010s. They're like listening to time capsules.

As a rule, while I have a USB with more than 1100 pieces of music on it, I just drive and listen to nothing....

Well I felt inspired to create a playlist called Darksaber on Spotify. All EDM covers of mostly modern hits but you'll find a 70s rock gem from and pop from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Almost all songs should sound fairly familiar. This music style intrigues me because it almost feels like parody but is an unironic collection of anthems. Still a work in progress but it's a living list from which I may add or subtract.

Parts of it. Mostly those of us who live in border states are familiar with what's called Spanglish. The instrumentals are what got me. Real gritty Mexican style beat with the chimes. Gives me a vibe of the series Breaking Bad. But even if you don't understand the words, the point of rap is percussive (not melodic) vocals and she delivers cleanly with musicality.
I've made a massive update to my EDM playlist which has grown to 185 tracks. They're mostly covers of familiar pop hits (some 70s, 80s, 90s, mostly 2000s+, some anime or k-pop/j-pop). I was surprised with the production quality I'm finding nowadays. They sound better than most electronic tracks I listened to in the 2000s. They make old overplayed hits sound fresh or sometimes better than the original:

Anything without frequencies below 200hz will be fine. Bose can't bass for ****.
