Default Trade Value 2022 3lt HTC

I have a 2022 Rapid Blue 3lt HTC sticker was $95k Thinking of trading for a Z06. What’s the car worth on a trade? Is the z06 worth the extra $50k?

Values are coming down. Not going to get sticker anymore. Try Edmonds.com.

You might be looking at more than $50K difference - doubt the dealer will give you sticker price for your car. But, you don’t say what the price of the Z06 is.

Z06 is msrp. Dealer offered $78k. Can probably get him up to $80k. I save the sales tax. So it is equivalent to selling privately for about $86,700. My car has 5000 miles. Just trying to decide if z06 is worth the extra cash. They won’t let you drive it. Ridiculous, go to Porsche and they toss you the key

You're looking at about 15k loss on your car, then the Z. That seems like an awful lot to me, but your call.

The reason 99% of dealers will not let you drive a new Vette is customer driven..... Corvette owners want to put all the miles on their cars. They do NOT want a demo with miles on it.

Well it’s hard to say if it’s worth it for you lol but for me it’s not worth it at this time but if I was rich then I will do it even though I still think it’s not worth it if you already have a beautiful C8 that has over 90% of the performance and looks

You can always come down to Bowling Green and test drive the Z06 at the NCM Motorsports Park on track.

Been doing this value trade in my head for the last six months, been offered two @ msrp and passed. The answer for me is no, it’s not worth the extra $50k. But I just can’t seem to stop looking…

So you’ll be okay when you pick up your new Z with 120miles on it not knowing who or how it was driven?

Default When is more too much?

I don't need to go faster. I don't need to handle better. I don't need more aero pieces. And I surely don't want to live in GM's new digital world. So a new Z06 has no appeal.

I say if you want to and can afford it then just do it. Take the 78k from the dealer and put it toward the Z. But keep in mind that the Z will cost more in every way and may be a bit above your means.Which in turn may make it less enjoyable in the long term. The 0-60 is the same as the Stingray until higher speeds. So really you could modify the Stingray and make it the same or faster than a Z. I couldn't justify losing that much money at this point but it's your call. Go with your gut feeling.

The short answer is YES the Z is worth it. It is a completely different driving experience. I get the $50-60K difference. The base Stingray is an incredible car/value. If you can swing the Z financially go for it because it is that much better. I miss when a Z06 was only a $15-25K premium over the base Corvette but those days are gone.

I won't consider new cars with essential (to me) equipment being subscription based. Fortunately (or not depending on your point of view) as I near EOL, l love what I got and am satisfied with keeping them.

Can you expound on what exactly is “that much better”? No question a Z is a value in its own right and a phenomenal performance machine.
