Why do I get, at random, a "ding-dong" chime? This does not seem to be related to my iPhone - I have turned off all Google notifications - yet I still get a rather loud doorbell chime every so often. This is just a nuisance. I hope to find the source and close it down.

Do you have speed warning set, by chance? So if you exceed a speed it alerts you?

Could be a pedestrian, cyclist, or motorcycle warning. I got the pedestrian warning yesterday.

Isolate the phone from the car and try again. My 2024 3LT doesn't have a door bell sound. I have an android phone.

Is Waze running in the background? It will chime when it updates a route for traffic or any kind of alert.

I would leave the phone at home and see if it still happens. That way, you can determine whether it is a vehicle or a phone setting.

I have 2021. But with that Nav, which is different from yours, I do get a school zone alert. I don't recall the exact sound but chimelike. But...there is notice on the Nav screen that says school zone. If what you are getting a chime, and if is caused by the Nav, you should get written notice on the sceen - though it may look different since it is a 2024.

There may be a menu in the car that lets you enable and disable nav related alerts. There are other sources of alerts and chimes in the 2024. Download a copy of your manual from the chev site and search on those terms. See if any of the cases that come up fit your experience.
