SD CARD Larger than 16 GB
Recommended but has anybody bought an SD card larger than 16 GB for their PDR?

I have used the same 256GB Sandisk card in my 2015 Z06, my 2020 Stingray and now my 2024 Z06 with no issues. The recommendation is an old one from years ago that has been repeated in years of owners manuals that is more focused on the minimum capacity. I think the 2014 manual when PDR was introduced contained the same words, but the world of SD cards has progressed in the last ten years.

If the SD card is the correct spec, any capacity at least 16 GB will work. I found a 128GB for $20 and rarely have to remove any recordings but still do a reformat once a year.

OP, It’s always wise to avoid advice from someone who says to avoid something without sighting any data or facts. As it clearly points to someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about.
As for me I have been using a micro SD card with an adapter without any issues .The Samsung PRO Endurance micro SSD was engineered to deliver long lasting performance. It’s BUILT TO LAST UP TO 140K HOURS OF RECORDING. It records and rewrites up to 140K hours (over 16 years); Plus, it has an unconditional warranty up to 5 years. RECORDS & PLAYS IN FHD/4K: it also simplifies large file transfers with read/write speeds up to 100/40MB/s; Plus, FHD and 4K resolution support ensures that crucial moments are recorded in high-res so every detail is documented when it matters most.

I am using a 128GB because Walmart was sold out of 256GB. Don't wait until right before you pick up the car to buy.

SanDisk MAX ENDURANCE CARD, microSDXC with adapter 256 GB, no problems in 1 year of use, records all the time, ~ 5K miles.

Well, I have been using DSLRs, Mirrorless cameras, and various video recording devices of various types and sizes for many years. I know several pro photogs that used to use micro SD cards in SDXC adapters but they do not anymore. Even when it means not using dozens of micro SD cards anymore. Why? Because they have had cameras stop recording photos in the middle of shoots. I have personally had a video camera stop recording in my race car because the micro SD card "disappeared" in the middle of a race. I have had cameras not be able to find the card when an adapter has been used.
In all cases, there was nothing wrong with the micro SD cards themselves. They all worked great when used without an adapter and worked fine with other adders or even with the same adapter. The problem is the mechanical interface between the card and the adapter. It's not always solid especially in an active environment.
All the pros I know told me to use a card in the native format and to avoid adapters unless it was to just move files around.
Clearly the PDR in the C8 is not usually mission critical. But why risk potential problems when they can be avoided? Why not use an SD Card??
