Actually had a decent experience getting my system rebooted. The gal did however sound a bit like an automaton, programmed to repeat specific phrases, and it was hard to get a word in edgewise. Hard to find actual, real people anymore. It's 2024, and I'm not so sure I like it...

The best experience you'll have with SiriusXM customer service is using their website online chat. It's vastly superior to their phone support...even my 73 year old father agrees and he's stubborn as Hell and despises anything related to technology.

Dealing with SiriusXM has been a headache. Feels like I'm stuck in an endless loop of confusion, almost like talking to an AI that doesn't get it. Anyone else had a frustrating experience with them?

Online chat gets you a real person rather quickly. Lower right corner of the webpage. Keep your questions/requests simple and one thing at a time; you're dealing with ESL agents.

Why even bother, the audio quality for SiriusXM sucks as they overcompress the music streams. There's a very noticeable difference between it and streaming apps like Pandora, Spotify, etc when running in high quality mode.

I've never had any issues with calling and speaking directly to a SiriusXM rep...I find them very easy to work with...I do this yearly to renegotiate my contract and never pay more than $60/yr...

I have been dealing with these people for 16 years and despise the process. I usually wind up telling to cancel everything and then and only then will they begin to negotiate down to a reasonable amount.

Just got a notice from them that my free trial in my '24 3LZ will expire in April. SIX months after delivery. Not the promised 12. Sigh......

I had a year free of it and I never really used it. I hear from people if you call them, they will work out some nice deals on it.

Let's Make A Deal
Sirius will negotiate significant discounts to their first offer. Worth a call and some wrangling if satellite radio is your music source of choice.

I use the online chat to get all 3 of my Sirius XM subscriptions lowered every year. As soon as the person comes onto the chat, I tell them I want to cancel because I rarely listen to it. They do not seem to care that I do it every year and they always offer me a lower price immediately. If the initial offer is not low enough, I tell them I will do it for $3.99 a month. The most I will agree to is $5 a month or, I just tell them to cancel.
They lower the price, make me agree to it over the chat, and then I am done for the next twelve months. It usually takes less than 10 minutes while I am doing other things on my computer. I added a reminder in my calendar for each car because they will not refund money for past months if you wait too long.

Besides a PITA billing issue with them, my January 2024 renewal with them went well. The representative was pleasant and helpful but their billing department screwed up.
