Default Looking for brake recommendations for z51 equipped c8

I’m at 49k km not miles on the original breaks and probably may need to change them soon.

I’m seriously tired of the brake dust from the z51 performance brakes. I’d like to use something that generates much less dust but still provides amazing stopping power. I do drive the car very spirited at times.

also, is it recommended to replace the rotors with the pads or will just the pads suffice?

Any recommendations?

Lots of threads on this. A lot of folks (me included) prefer the Powerstop Z26 pads. They are almost zero dust and work great. There is a much more expensive Carbotech pad that some people also like. Those pads are more than adequate for aggressive street driving. Neither will be good for actual track days, which put way more heat into any pad that even very aggressive street driving. I kept my original rotors and wore the new pads in per the recommendations from Powerstop. No issues at all. Best of luck!

As others have said, Powerstop Z26. Had them on my C7, now on my C8 as well. Did two of my buddies C8s as well.

My wife had to have 2 piece rear rotors, don't ask, so I had the delaer put on GiroDisc rotors and CarboTech street pads, 98% less dust, great stopping, tired of cleaning the brake dust every two days with the stock Z51 pads

I don't like the dust either, but since I do 2-4 track days a year, I don't want to give up stopping power for less dust. I wish there was a pad that doesn't lose any stopping power, but has less dust without changing the rotors.
