Except he doesn't necessarily know the product, regardless of the fact that he thinks he does. He has previously passed along information as fact, when in reality, it was wrong (ie; plant openings/closings, etc.). He personally might be a nice guy, but, he is such a fool that I'd never buy a thing from him, let alone a $100,000 vehicle. He is the furtherest thing from a professional car salesman as possible. Look at Mike Furman as an example, the #1 corvette salesperson in the world, along with an NCRS judge. Mike doesn't have a YouTube channel, isn't a clown and knows more about the Corvette history and line up (both historically and currently) than virtually anyone else in the car industry and on social media (including most of the members of CF).

Wow, lighten up people. If you don't care for his vid, don't watch. If you don't care for him as a salesman, don't buy from him. He has a lot of happy customers across the country and his vids are pretty good, especially the market updates.

This forum is hilarious and full of contradictions. There is always a dummy freeloader who preaches who should post and what to post while they post whatever they want. It never works.
We would get along better with a lot less conflicts if we would live, let live, and take the high road.

I live in the Central Ohio area. I never once considered purchasing my C8 from Coughlin Chevrolet in Pataskala and Rick Conti because of the Youtube videos. I want to do business with a sales person 100% focused on selling cars and providing customer service. Not one that is spending a good portion of their work day making Youtube videos. I’m kind of surprised management at Coughlin allow him to make these videos. I assume they think it’s good marketing for the dealership. For me, it’s a big turn off. I’m betting there are others who feel the same as I do.

Tried to buy a C6 from him back in 08. He was condescending in my 1st call and never got a follow up with a price. Acted like he was doing me a favor. Been buying from Tommy Jr at MM ever since.

I thought it was a pretty good video - looked like he was having a fun time with the car and enjoys what he does in selling Corvettes.

I watch his stuff on a regular basis. Really like the Tech Tuesdays. He has given me a good knowledge base on the C8, and market trends, etc. He's always been responsive to my emails. Seems he has a lot of repeat customers, which to me says he knows what he's doing. He was in radio before selling Corvettes, so he has his own way of marketing, and it seems to work for him. I like the way he keeps it light and funny. Much better than a boring and bland self-proclaimed expert who feels the need to video himself and car inside his own garage, telling everyone how to use a key fob. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and that was mine.

He did the same thing to my next door neighbor (hence my personal disdain for him) AFTER I vouched for him telling my neighbor that "he (Conti) was a pretty good guy and fairly well respected". NEVER again, and I wouldn't personally give him nor refer any business to him ever again...
