20 Spoke Bright Machine Faced Forged Wheels
Would anyone be able to tell me why the bright machine faced forged wheels cost $1000 more than the black ones? Just curious. I had to select the bright ones over the black for my 2024 order because the black ones were on constraint.

The same reason that black painted wheels are $1000 more than silver painted wheels, along with with red and yellow painted calipers costing $695 more than black painted calipers.

Machine facing is an extra detailed step in the manufacturing process. I bought a set of nice $$$$ Forgeline wheels. I would have liked to get them in the machine face finish, but that was a $2000 option versus painted.
The Stingray wheels I likes most were machine faced and an extra $1500 over the base wheels. No Thanks.

The 20 spoke black and 20 spoke machine faced are both forged. Even though I feel the price difference is ridiculous, I would have paid the extra $1000 for the machine faced wheels. I think they are the best looking and allows you to make out the design of the wheel from much further away.

It's kinda funny that back in the C4 days they went from machine faced to painted and back and no one batted an eye and it was all included in the price. The 1984-1990 wheels were machine faced, 1991-1992 were painted, then 1993-1996 standard wheels were machine face. GM sure has learned how to monetize BS (probably by watching Porsche)

Just seen this in case you like either of them better than the machine faced 20 spokes, for $1000 less:

Not sure where you are at with the order process and if you can still make changes.

The two wheels mentioned in post #8 are nice looking.

Im all in on the 20 spoke machine forged, placed my order last week so no more changes. I think the brighter wheels will be a nice contrast against everything else being black.

Keep in mind the Chevy "forged" wheels are hybrid rotary forged or hybrid cast, not a true forged wheels.
My C8Z base "forged" wheels are 28# for the set heavier than my true Forgeline DR1 wheels in the same sizes.
