Unable to find a place that lets me test drive
My order was apparently submitted and picked up but the dealer I'm going through won't let me test drive any c8's. I asked around dealers in the region and they treat these cars like test drives just aren't a thing and everyone out there knows if they really want one or not.
Anyone know a dealer in PA that'll let someone do a test drive?

Consider renting one. Expensive, but it provides the opportunity to spend more time with the vehicle. That time is also spent solo, so there's no tension between you as the driver and the sales guy rubbing shoulders with you in the cockpit. I rented from Enterprise around two months ago, with the rate being around $300 per day. Thought doing so might either a.) serve to get the insanely powerful desire to drive one of these cars 'out of my system', or perhaps b.) allow the opportunity to discover that the car wasn't right for me. It ended up being c.) be forever recalled as one of the funnest things I've ever done. I've never driven anything even close. Breathtaking. And so... Just heard today that this is my Stingray's Target Production Week. If that holds, and if all goes well after it's finished, I could be driving this beast of a car in as little as 3-4 weeks.

if you didn’t buy from me no test drive bucko
and if you were a good guy you would not ask others
that borders on fraudulent like behaviour, PRETENDING to be a buyer when U R not

Are you complaining about taking advantage of car dealers by using “fraudulent like behaviour”?

I never had a test drive either, I literally ordered the car and arranged financing without even seeing the car or even driving one.
My first look at it on Corvette Boulevard took my breath away, I do not regret a thing.
My first day driving it, I ran it 800 miles and it was easy.
If you don't like it, you can always sell it right?
Make sure you select dealer option R8C.
cheers

This sums up my experience at dealers pretty well. Guess they aren't interested in getting potential new corvette owners to sign the paperwork at their dealership.

Do you think after test driving it you would decide not to buy? Think you'd find something no one else has?

Rent one from Turo. I rented one for my dads 90th B-day this past weekend.
Even if you get a test drive it would be way too brief to really get a feel for what it can do.
I got it for $160+ a day. Took it out on the open freeways, stop and go traffic, out on the town weekend nightlife, Wildcat Canyon (the twistiest road in the area).
I used the data recorder the entire time. I got to pull several launch controlled runs, lit ‘em up just a tiny bit. I didn’t want to take advantage of my host’s tires. It was a blast. Worth every penny.

Never test drove mine till I got it. Had driven C7 which I owned and a C5 a guy who worked for me let me drive. Mine has been a dream to drive over the other two I had driven/owned. It is definitely hard to not test drive a vehicle when putting the type of money it costs to own one of these cars. However, as most if not all of us here will tellyou it is a fantastic vehicle to drive, and might even surprise you. Good luck and hope you get the vette you want.

I never drove one on the street. I went to extreme experience and drove one on the track at atlanta motorsports Park, and a second time on the roval at Charlotte motor speedway. It was a blast I race dirt late models and I was hooked. The car is really balanced and the motor is just right at 500 hp to have fun. make sure the seats are comfortable for you and get the trim level you want. but if you don't take it to the track you may never know what you really have. this thing is a blast to drive fast. but don't speed on the street and put others at risk. take it to a race track and have fun
