Probably your best bet…they’re 20% through the end of the month to bring it down to $120. I think I might’ve seen a new silver body only on eBay a little cheaper…
Got my 5000MA 100C 3C in. Too big, found an extended strap on Ebay and ordered it.
Concerned about parts drying up so ordered 4 tires and a splitter from Traxxas. Tires -20% off. Now free shipping over $100. What else might I need? What parts fail/break? Perhaps another set of tires? Do the rears wear faster than the fronts.
Cannot seem to find a decal sheet for the C8.

Yesterday I had a brilliant idea. Go visit my local hobby shop which I pass every day. I looked over the whole store for a C8. An employee approached me and seemed unaware of the car. A few minutes later a gentleman said "We had one. " looked a bit above in an area. said "Did we sell it?" and there it was.
Came home ordered battery, charger and lights. anticipating first run soon.
How is the upgrade motor doing or is the car staying upright guys?
I look at my extra and I think keeping it at this point is probably a good idea.
I doubt this model will be reproduced again and I am glad I was able to get them when I could.

Red, which is my personal color choice. He came down from $350 old to $300. and I accepted at that price. I should have bought a charger on Facebook Marketplace. They are available there for $20., but I bought on Amazon with 7600 battery. What battery are you using Band?

I bought the charger/battery combo pack with the 5800 LiPo battery so that when I do go brushless, the charger will work with the 3s battery too:
It's my understanding you can't use a 3s battery on the stock Stingray...it'll burn up the motor eventually. You gotta step up to brushless to run a 3s battery. Look into the Traxxas Power Up program to trade in your stock motor and ESC.
Clear body painted to perfectly match my actual black C8! The last picture is the “Traxxas Black” which is closer to carbon flash metallic vs the GM black: True GM black on bottom. Traxxas black at top.
The Traxxas Stingray is on a 4Tec 3.0 chassis. Just for the fun of it, I also bought a clear Protoform body for SUBSTANTIALLY less ($33) that will fit on a 4Tec 2.0 chassis and painted it to match. The Traxxas body is slightly larger than the ProtoForm body and much more detailed. The Protoform body will NOT fit the 4Tec 3.0 chassis either, but will fit “standard” 190-200mm chassis. Protoform body is on right. It’s slightly smaller than the Traxxas body. Protoform body is on bottom. High wing is optional. Traxxas body is on right with red engine cover visible. Protoform body is on left (w/Traxxas tag since I plan to run it on a Traxxas 4Tec 2.0 chassis)
We had our Traxxis C8 at a car show last Saturday and it was a hit! Still looking for Traxxis body stripes and another silver Traxxis - body only.
If you buy a clear body, it'll come with the stripes on the decal sheet. If you buy a silver body, ther're already applied. I'm sure people that bought the clear bodies have messed up their stripes applying them, so I/m thinking if you call Traxxas, they may sell you just a decal sheet for the C8...
I'd give you the stripes from my clear body, but the front and rear emblems are attached to them, so I cut them out...my roof stripes are unmolested though if you want them...
