Gas mileage statistics
So I was sure there were previous posts specifically about mileage but a search of the forums for mileage or mpg turns up very little.
I see people often mention getting 20-30mpg. I have never, not once, hit 20. Granted I am a pretty fast and aggressive driver but I do let it drop into v4 mode on the highway. I'm curious if there are others out there who also have never seen 20mpg. Probably just as well I dropped off the z06 lists, I can only imagine the mileage I'd get with my driving.
To head off the likely question about worst mileage shown, that's a track day. Mileage at spring mountain was about the same.

Still under the 500 mile mark, been using manual mode to avoid V4 nearly 100% of the time. Averaging 18mpg on the trip computer. Means nothing at this point.

My '21 Coupe routinely gets 21-23 MPG in and around town (rural) and at 75 mph with cruise on highway gets 30-31 MPG.

I get 16 to 18 pg in normal suburban driving, but on long trips I routinely get 30 mpg, sometimes a little more.

Mine was over 25 mpg at any given time on the open road but this is mostly while you are cruising, it can and will drop dramatically in town when you put your foot down.
These V--8s can and will consume fuel at high volumes quite easily, all you have to do is get on it.
Forums are always discussing fuel mileage and there is always someone who will get more mpg than you, to me this is not an issue with this car.
I love the great fuel economy but I also love to enjoy some good performance as well, the C-8 does this exceptionally well at anytime.

You guys are impressive. I'm going to have to take a road trip one of these days and intentionally try to see if I can get over 20. Highways im rarely doing under 85. People drive fast in this area.

My best is 27.7 traveling on the highway to work which includes a steep grade. Funny thing is that was accidental. I tried to duplicate it by doing the speed limit(65) but always come up about 1 mpg less. I think 70-75mph may be the sweet spot.

My worst was 4 mpg. But that was in a parade going about 5 mph, so hardly typical.

I find it important when claiming mileage NOT to use the figures the car itself calculates. Invariably they are overstated, not only in C8s but every car I've ever checked.
Only way true figures can be attained are Miles driven divided buy fuel used i.e. keeping track of odometer and gas pump input.
Just caution. I know it's nice to brag about how fuel efficient (or not) a car is, but it's only relevant if true figures are used.
My 2¢
(as an aside I track every expense, by date and place excepting insurance)

Was hitting 27 in cruise control on a 370 mile road trip but my average driving in town is probably 11-14 MPG. I got other vehicles for gas mileage I bought this one for fun.

I try hard to get no more than 16 mpg around town and I mostly achieve this by keeping the fun factor high. The right foot does the talking. Highway, different story, 25+ mpg.
