C'mon, man. Just drill a hole through the frunk lid to get to the latch. Easy peasy.

I see the "self"-close frunk as a net negative because you still have to push it down by hand for the first latch, so to me there's no point to it unlike the rear trunk which is a true self-close. On

The 2023s and earlier you could do push down both latches in one motion, so the self-close doesn't actually save any time/effort. And just one more part to break and slightly added weight to the car.

I have a standard lockout rod in my patrol car, I could have hit that button by now. Not sure if that would open it though.

The dealership service department managed to get replacement latch and close the frunk. Picked up the supercar last Friday (23 Feb) but frunk still inoperable until replacement cinch motor arrives. For some reason GM parts dept. not able to overnight anything. They said maybe Friday or next week on cinch motor arrival. Other than that the car is awesome!!

You have what I think is the best looking C8 I've yet to see. Sorry about the trunk. Really like your color combo choice.
