That’s why I went with the grey trident OEM wheels. I actually think they look great, but a lot depends on the car color too (and caliper).

I had many folks compliment my black wheels. I had a few older folks (70yrs+) at car shows mention that they prefer chrome. I think the choice does depend on the car's exterior paint and accents. I think most C8s look great with either.

The only C8 I saw at this year's annual Tokyo Auto Salon was by custom boutique shop Forte Special which apparently won an award. The forged wheels are original by Forte.
And here are MRR F25 in Carbon Flash with machined edge.

LOL! That was Goodyear's idea for lighted tires, wasn't it?

Now that I got your attention help me see black wheels in a new light. I really wanted black wheels believing they would look great with my Torch Red C8. Unfortunately the more I look at black wheels all I see is the new chrome. Everyone has them which has me liking my silver wheels a lot more. In fact, a few of the higher prices exotics have silver wheels and look better with them.
So show me your black wheels and help me see the light.

I was going on the fence about doing black or machined face wheels on my new Z06, but my wife preferred the black wheels. I might still pick up a set of the machined face and run some A/S tires on them.

How silly. Is it your car? If so get whatever YOU like... I don't care.

This is kind of a dumb thread. If you think black wheels are too common, get something else. It's not like silver is any less common...but, whatever. Get pink wheels....not many people have those!
People should get whatever color wheels they think looks best.
Me? I am happy to trade my silver wheels for satin black wheels. I think they look best with my C8's color scheme so that is what I am getting.
