Transmission problems after latest update
It would appear that my 24 Z51 was updated in the past few days and now the transmission is shifting hard and sloppy. Considering it was perfect before the update I have to wonder what they did and how soon before they fix the latest fix etc. Not ready to rush to the dealer to "check" but curious what other people are experiencing from this update.
Like a few others have noted, the update also reset my dash configurations. That was a simple dash link to drive mode redo.
TIA
Paul

2023 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Was this an OTA update or an update done by the Dealer?

Your transmission issue may not be related to the update. It would be best for you if it is related. Keep us up to date.

hmm I need to go crank my car it is a 2024 Z51 and has not been cracked but once this year, Jan 3rd to move it one spot over in garage. No updates are showing on the mychevrolet app says vehicle up to date. In fact I bought new in late Oct 2023 and it has not had one update. I find that odd since my 23 GMC truck had 5 last year all of which screwed up one thing or the other on it.

I'd check your mode settings before doing much of anything else.

Seems there was not an update according to My Chevrolet app. No CEL shows yet but I'll check tomorrow with my scan tool.
Damn, I thought I would avoid transmission problems, but there is definitely something wrong.

The car will not install an update without your consent even if you have download in the background enabled. And if an update fails it will give you a message.

I should have added that there is 1300 miles on the car now and it has been flawless up until today's outing.

As said above by 4thcat, any mode settings changes made by you or another driver? Any other drivers? If not, I don't know if waiting around would be a good thing to do. Maybe it will fix itself, or maybe it will get worse. Your call tho. Good luck.
