I prefer the boomerang body color...and then blacked out the spoiler and mirrors.

Blacked out mirrors will improve the look, imho.
I find myself increasingly in favor of body color accents, but I can understand why others feel differently. I concur that a blacktop canopy will definitely look better with body color accents.
O.P.
You could consider just doing the tail section in white, and leaving the leading edges in CF. That would mimic the C8R's intakes.

Precisely. And if you decide to do any alterations, graphics or other exterior accents--GM's choice of vents being non-body color...really hampers that.

The black trim doesn’t look as bad on the Z06 bs it’s not as big as the boomerang on the SR. I got the painted covers from pfyc.com for my SR. Not a fan of everything being body-colored…needs some contrast

Just a thought, why not wrap it? Easy to go back to original. If I get my allocation it will be body color, like the way I ordered my first C8. Accents are nice, But not in the middle of the body. JMHO.

Before I bought mine off a lot, I had planned to order one with the painted trim. That said, I prefer the rear grills in black, and the front trim can go either way. I will be painting the trim on my base C8 white.
As a sidebar, I tried to order the top pieces with the door handle last month so I could paint those without the car being down. Was unable to get them as they were backordered. I need to go try again.
Mine should look like this,,, although slightly different wheels, BC Forged 10 spoked in brushed clear.

I prefer this look, though I do think the mirrors always look better black--almost no matter what the C8 is configured like. But the body color trim, spoiler, etc--all look great. I would want the tonneau vent to be body color as well.

Very well stated. The black areas down low are nice but not in the middle breaking up the lines of a beautifully designed body.

Painted mine over the weekend. Boomerangs came out OK,, grill bezels are toast as I put stripper on them after new paint lifted old paint edges. Ordered two new ones in primer will paint them when they come in.
